Summary: My review
Review: This book kicked butt. i am a 15 year old girl and this totally gives me an insite on how easily you can get addicted to drugs. The book is about a 15 year old girl that has many problems once she uses and its so realistic. it helps to know that it is a true story. Some people feel they are the only ones in the world with problems and this book shows only one story of thousands of teenagers who are or are about to get in to drugs. The book is so interesting i couldnt stop reading it.It helps to hear another persons story because you might be about to do the same thing and you might think oh that cant happen to me but it really can and you wont even notice when it does. Alice wrote almost faithfully in her diary and it shows how easily she slipped in and out of drug uses. It shows how her personality changes when she was on drugs nad when she was off. I could go on and on about this book but i will stop now.I would recommend anyone to read this book, especially teenagers who think they might fall into the world of drugs. ( Mrs. barreira(my english teacher).... I AM SO GOOD! i get extra credit for this right?? Im gunna miss you when you move to away!)

Summary: Go Ask Alice Review
Review: I found this book to be very interesting and suspenseful. When every I would begin reading, I always had trouble putting it down. The book was full of interesting events in "Alice's" life. She is always getting into some kind of trouble. She started out as a good little school girl, but this book really shows how just a couple of drugs can make things go wrong. This real life story really made me think a lot, and think about some of the stuff I have seen in school. Alice is a character that a lot of people can relate to, and a lot of people know someone just like her. Alice lived the day to day life of using drugs and having sex, and it really got ahead of her. She adventually began to get better and really wanted to be better, but all of a sudden things took a turn for the worst, and it was all down hill from there.

Summary: Caveat emptor .....
Review: I made the drastic mistake of buying this book when only the most cursory invetigation brings out that it was written by a middle aged housewife with and overactive imagination.

Anyone that knows the drug culture must be rolling on the floor laughing (even bonged out of their minds, if you will) at the stories in this book, that are so so unlike anything in their wild imagination. Drug userers are not magnanimous .. you don't want any, good, they aren't going to force you, cause it means more for them.

Number one, heroin kills, and number two, kills all sex urges so the rape scene by addicts is ridiculous. The ultimate stupidity of this book is Alice's being tricked into taking acid while babysiting and eating candy from a canydish.... What a load ... They break in to spike the candy dish so she gets her first high? ... WOW ...

It's ludicrous works like this that perpetuate total ignorance of a serious problem that I even had to take this book far away and dump it since I sure didn't want anyone to find it in my garbage .....

Summary: If you don't know anyone who uses ....
Review: I picked up this book because I wanted somethingI have never read about before. I became hooked very easily. Alot of people don't believe the stuff that is written, but you need to face facts. It does. Except for it being in the 60's it's pretty much the same as today. .... It is the way she writes it. If you are lucky enogh not to go down this road, I'm happy for you. I understand what Alice went though, because alot of people do. We all question ourselves, and feel trapped atleast once in our lives. When you read this book, picture it happening now

Summary: AMAZING
Review: The first time I read this book I think was either in the 7th or 8th grade and my teacher would always give me books that no one in the class was reading and that were about "bad" decisions that teenagers made I guess she could see into the future because that is pretty much what happened. This book is so amazing I read it in like a day or two, it's one of those books you just can't put down. I don't know how to explain it but I could relate to this book before I had even started making "bad" decisions. It intrigued me and instead of being a warning it made me curious, a little too curious for my own good but that of course cannot all be traced back o this book. Just read it. You won't regret it.

Summary: WAKE UP CALL!
Review: This book was awesome. It's about this girl named Alice. She is a teenage girl who isn't vey popular in school and thinks she struggles because of that. And then she moves to a whole another state for her dad's job. But later in the book over summer vacation she goes to back to her home town tovisit her grand parents. While she's there, she finds some people she knew. And they invited her to come over and that is when the whole world of drugs enters her world. It doesn't get that bed til later when she meets a new boyfriend. And ends up running away quiet a few times but always regreting it. But I think this book was the best because i think just reading about her life was so interesting and just a wake up call to life you start getting involved with drugs and alchol. I give it a five star rating. I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like true or serious books. Because this is all ture story. so maybe if you read this book, it would be a wake up call to you too.

Summary: DURG MEANT TO BE RECREATIONAL, BUT IT BECOME DEADLY!!!
Review: "Go Ask Alice" is about a girl who became so addicted to drug and lost her life. It is a true story. At age 14, she realized that she wasn't an attractive girl as most of the students who were attended the same school. She didn't have a friend who can talk to her about her problems. She couldn't find any friends because she was too fat. No body wanted talk to her at school. She always sat by herself. Her Mother didn't help that much to help this girl. Mother didn't have time to talk to this girl.

One day she started to write a diary. She put her feelings in to that diary. Because she didn't have anybody to talk to or to be friend with, she saw the dairy as her best friend. When this girl got a problem she couldn't solve them by herself. She needed someone to talk to and solve her problems.

After a while, the girl found a friend at school. Her new friend invited her to the party at her house in the same day they mate. Since she needed a friend, she accepted the invitatin and went to the party. When she got there, the atmosphere wasn't good, but there was nothing that she could do. After a while, she started taking to other people in the party. While the party was going on. Almost all the teenagers that were there were smoking different kind of drugs. They offered her if she want to have some. She had accepted the offer thinking to make addtional friends. And after a while they were high and didn't know what they did. In that party, two guys eneded up raping her. She didn't know when they raped her because she was too high that she didn't even notice what was happing to her. When she woke up she realize that two guys had raped her. I mean, she couldn't believe herself when she heard that she was raped. She felt so sad. She didn't even want to go home.

After that day, she found other new friends whom only smoked or did drugs. So when she was around them she had continue to smoke. So after a while she become very addicted to and couldn't get out of it. She runs away from her house for many times. Her life was so miserable that she didn't even want to go to school. She went to several places with her friends and did stupid things.

Her family took her to hospital many times, but it was too late. They couldn't help this girl. She had often checked to drug rehabilitation center, but she didn't change. After three years, her family decided to keep her in the house to prevent her from going out and doing drugs. But that didn't help either.

One day when her family came home from work, they find her dead. When they took her to the hospital, the doctor told them that she was too overloaded. But they weren't too sure if the drug killed her. They didn't find anything that describes about her death in her diary.

Then her family decided to publish this book because they think that it might help young teenager those are in the same position that this girl was.

I think this book have a lot of things that would help teenagers. It shows the effect of drug when people start smoking for recreational and becomes an addict. In this case it took her life. As our species name describe us as Homo Sapiens Sapiens (wise, wise man), we should learn from her mistakes and learn to embrace ourselves how skinny or fat we might become. I hope one-day teenagers will learn quickly to appreciate diverse student body. Therefore, together we can prevent other students from destroying their life and others as we had seen teenagers' violence action in various states and cities of American high school. We should start from us.

Summary: The Perfect Book for Teens
Review: The moment I picked up "Go Ask Alice" I was hooked. This is a book about an innocent teenage girl, much like me and my friends, who gets hooked on drugs when someone spikes her drink with LSD. The book tells her story about extreme highs and excrutiating lows. "Go Ask Alice" isn't preachy. It lets you make your own decisions on drugs. However your answer will be a resounding NO. "Go Ask Alice" is a must-read for everyone, especially teens.

Summary: Made a difference in my life
Review: Reading this book and watching the movie as a pre-teen gave me an early good dose of reality about drug-use. When the pressure to try drugs reared its ugly head, I knew I wanted no part of anything poor Alice had endured.

Summary: BUY IT NOW!!
Review: Go Ask Alice was an amazing book about a teenager struggling through adolescent years surrounded by drugs and pressures. Alice starts her diary, and the reader immediately sees her warm personality and pureness. However, she moves houses and gets invited to a party where LSD is put in 10 out of the 14 bottles of coke served, and Alice has her first drug experience. The new people she started to hang around were pressuring her to continue experimenting, which lead her to trying pot, speed, heroin, and ecstasy. Her life turns downhill, and she even runs away from home. I guarantee that this book is enjoyable for any parent or teenager because it shows the reality of teenage lives with drugs, sex, and pressure. Alice's experiences will never be forgotten, and her diary entries reveal the truth about the obstacles teeenagers face while maturing into adults.
