Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: Go Ask Alice is a shocking real-life diary of a girl who struggled through life, experimenting on drugs. Truthfully, I was recommended Go Ask Alice by a friend, and it didn't interest me. But little did I realise that this book was one that anyone, including myself, could relate to. The fact that this girl was on drugs shouldn't matter; her character is human and real. Unlike other books, this story is true and full of pure thoughts coming out of 16 year old girl. Just like one of us, she goes through life thinking that no one cares. This book is so genuine that you realise that you are not the only one in this world frightened and angry at their life. Go Ask Alice not only entertains, it teaches you life's little lessons. Like this girl, any teenager in the world is able to understand what this girl is feeling about her life. About parents, friends, peer pressure, drugs, sex, school, etc. Go Ask Alice is a powerful book that I recommend to anyone of any age.

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: Go Ask Alice. Go ask a teen aged girl. On drugs. Think about your life. Now imagine being thrust into the drug addict's world invouluntarily. That is Alice's answer. Her life is her answer.
It is impossible to tear yourself away from this book. Yet, it makes you sick to read. How can a pure, good teen's life suddenly be thrown awry by one drug? How could someone knowingly do this? Even though "Alice" says drugs are wonderful, to the non-addicts mind the consequences are clearly shown. Not only did this REAL girl get hooked unwillingly, but she got herself off the drugs, too. Go Ask Alice is a wonderful memoriam to all those who have died from drugs, and a reminder to pre-teens/teens about the dangers, consequences and peril of drugs.

Summary: Best Book I've Ever Read
Review: "Go Ask Alice" was a great book. It showed so much truth...it was like you could feel what Alice was going through. It was a very sad book and taught girls everywhere that drugs were not the way to go.

Summary: REALITY
Review: I was in high school when I read this book. It's a different perspective. Most of the time I just heard adults tell me "Say no to drugs" that's ridiculous. Teenagers don't listen to that crap. This book was a life changer for me, then.

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: Go Ask Alice is a book about an anonymous person's struggle with life and drugs. "Anonymous" is trying to live up to her parents expectations. When she goes to a party with drinks spiked with LSD, it starts her spiral down into the dark world of drug addiction. The settings change throughout the book from San Fransisco to Boulder. She is an addict on and off. No matter what she always has a friend that has easy access to drugs. Every time she usually comes back home claiming she has changed. Eventually, she always becomes addicted again. In the begining her parents aren't aware of her drug problem but they know near the end. The book ends with a simple statement that leaves you guessing.

I thought Go Ask Alice was truly a remarkable book. It opened my eyes to how precious life is. Fictional or not, I really felt like I knew the characters and I could put my self in there situation. The ending also made me feel moved. It made me realize what a scary effect drugs can have on one persons life. This book can show anyone how to overcome something and change in your life. Overall it was very good and I highly recomend it.

Summary: The Best Book EVER!
Review: This is my favorite book in the world. I've read it 3 times and cry everytime. It opened my eyes to the world. I know it has made me a better person, and so many times I felt like I was Alice. I've recommended this book to everyone, and I have yet to find one person who did not love it. I know read only books like this such as...Lisa, Bright and Dark; Almost Lost; Jay's Journal; Treacherous Love; It Happened to Nancy; Annie's Baby; and my current book is I Know This Much is True. All of these books I think everyone should read. I have never liked to read until Alice came into my life. Please READ THIS BOOK! You won't regret it. I can't begin to tell you how much I love it and how it has changed my life!

Summary: A True Story About A Girl And Her World
Review: Go Ask Alice
Anonymous

I just finished reading an anonymous book called Go Ask Alice. It is terrific diary of a girl named Alice who is a teenager trapped in the addictive world of drugs. She is usually stoned; when she is stoned she does a lot of crazy things. Sometimes she becomes aware that what she is doing is wrong.
She runs away with a friend and they have a little apartment in San Francisco. To survive they have jobs but they quit them for some reasons (I do not want to tell for you to read and discover). They decide to open a store to be able to eat and buy things without any problems. They spend a lot of time decorating their store and fortunately everything goes really well. After a while, she starts to fell homesick and wants to go home. I am going to stop here because I want you to meet her, discover what she does, feel what I felt and feel what Alice felts.
This book makes you fell you are in it. It makes you fell you need to help her but you can't. One of the parts in her diary that made me feel that I needed to help her was: " After you've had it, there isn't life without drugs..."
Reading this book I learned that drugs are really bad. When you want something fight until you have got it. If not you will never achieve anything in life. The thing that impacted me in this book were the thing she did or the thing they did to her when she was stoned like being raped and losing her virginity, the thing that drugs can make to you like die and bring damage.
This is a fabulous book because it showed me the value of life. Read it, you will never forget Alice. I recommend this book to 6 graders and up or to 12 years and up.
