Rating: Summary: 5++++ Review: i'm sorry but this book is too amazing to be real. I LOVE it and it's my favorite book in the whole wide world, it's so sad and truly unbeliavable beacuse of all the pain and depression she faces and i don't think any human being should be able to go through that but "alice" did and i guess she's ok now...she "escaped" but it is really sad...after reading this book it feels like you get to know Alice like she is a friend of yours who you would love to desperately help, it feels like she's telling you her problems and you really want to help her but you can't and then you read the shocking ending which made me cry.i would give this book 1,0000000 points because it is a truly amazing book and it's not just a book but a diary of a REAL teenager
Rating: Summary: ~*Go*Ask*Alice*~ Review: The book Go Ask Alice is in the form of a diary of a young girl. Throughout the diary the girl writes about her thoughts, feelings, and encounters like you would normally expect to be in a diary. However, most of these encounters are not so pleasant. Some of them include drugs and what comes hand in hand with the use of drugs. She also writes about the "friends" she makes, places she travels, or runs away to, and the consequences she had to deal with because of her use of drugs. Overall, this book was very good, and mostly very real. I was amazed to see how easy it really is to get possession of drugs. It was also very eye opening to the consequences, long-term and short-term, that drugs have on the user and their families. The only thing that kind of disappointed me about the book was that it seemed too easy for her to run away to those places and find jobs and places to live. It also seemed unrealistic that her parents didn't call the police or someone to go find her when she ran away. I definitely recommend every read this book. It is an eye opening look into the "world of drugs," the consequences and reality of it all.
Rating: Summary: This Book is High Quality! Review: The book Go Ask Alice was written under an anonymous author. The book was a girl's diary that was later published by her family. The book was about a girls expeirience with drugs and common teenage hardships. It is written in a diary format. The book takes you through all of her experiences, choices, and feelings as she drifts through her life. This book is powerful and true. There is a lot of feeling from this girl that triggers feelings in the reader. The book has slight dramatic irony which keeps you unable to put the book down. It is influencial and creative. Every freshmen in high school should have to read this book because it is the age when a lot of choices get placed on teenagers. This book can also be related to adults too. It helped me make decisions as to how to direct my life. I rate this book five stars. Not only is it written well, an easy read, and informational; it is also powerful and a true depiction of what could happen. These features are what makes Go Ask Alice even more unique.
Rating: Summary: Go Ask Alice Review: Go Ask Alice was a riveting diary written by an anonymous teenage girl. The beginning of the diary starts off with the thoughts of a normal teenage girl. It shows how healthy kids can easily be introduced to and sucked into the world of drugs. It also shows how using drugs just once can be addicting. Throughout the novel, "Alice" becomes addicted to drugs such as pot and acid. She ends up moving from place to place, thinking that she will eventually get out of her drug-dependent habits. As "Alice" attempts to stay away from drugs, old friends play a trick on her by lacing candy with acid. This lands "Alice" in the hospital. This incident also landed "Alice" in the mental hospital when her parents thought she took the acid willingly. I found myself planted inside the mind of a teenage drug addict, and found out what it is like to be dependent on drugs. The ending left me hanging, but overall I liked the fact of being inside "Alice's" mind. Because of language and graphic nature, I would recommend this book to highschool age and up.

Rating: Summary: Very exciting Review: I think that you should read this book because it is very interesting and once you start reading it you can't put it down. The reason I enjoyed it the most was because I liked the topic it was based on; it just reminded me of things that go on in this world still today. I think this book was a non-fiction book because it was this girl's own personal diary. It was all in her own words and all of it was how she felt about drugs, people, and life. In this book you also never find out the girl's name. But she was smart when she was in school; she had friends on and off, and I think she was only using drugs to fit in with her friends. The worst parts in the book, besides what happens at the end, is when she is in a asylum. While she was there she was really freaking out; she was seeing bugs that were eating at her body. They ate out all the skin on her hands (so she says).

Rating: Summary: Really Great Book Review: I gave this book five stars because it was an awesome book. If you have read it, you have to like it. This book is mainly for a mature audience because of the drug usage. I would recommend this for kids ages twelve and up because of its explicit content. When I heard my classmates talking about this book, it made me want to read it, so I grabbed a copy. I read the back and it sounded really good so I read it. This book gives kids good information on how drugs can ruin your life. READ IT!!!!
Rating: Summary: 14 year old... Review: I believe that the book Go Ask Alice was not just great but also inspirational. Having similar problems as "Alice" has made it easy for me to relate to this book. Even though I was able to face and fix my problems before it got as bad...it still was a great thing to be able to read and say "Wow...that was me at one time". I would recommend for any teens that are at least 14 and older to read this phenominal piece of liturature. Thanks to the author, Beatrice Sparks, for wrting a book with such great meaning.
Rating: Summary: none Review: It's interesting and kept me turning the pages, but it dosn't really sound like a real diary even though I hadn't lived back in that time. The subject has so many personalitlies throughout this book and dose things that she would never do at the beginning or throughout, drugs or no drugs. It sounds like someones trying to stamp into your head that drugs can ruin your life, and this is what they do. Sometimes there is no real reason for the main charecter to be doing whatever. An interesting read, but not to factual. There are better books.
