Summary: A must read, trust me
Review: I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I was told about this book years ago, ok so it was about 14 years ago, and it is one of the few books from back then that I still own. I read it and could not put it down. It was amazing to see how much a person can go through at such a young age. I still read it and still just get so involved in the story. It shows how powerful drugs can be over a person. We tell ourselves that we will not do them and will stop but sometimes like in Alice's case, drugs are a more powerful factor. This book is a diary of a young girl and her struggle with drugs. She has her ups and downs. It really gives you an inside look at how life is when you are on drugs. She just got stuck and could not get out no matter how hard she tried. Alice to me is a real person, people say it's a fake diary but, I have no doubt in my mind its real. Her diary may not be like an average teenager's diary but she was not average teenager. When I wrote in my journal I wrote the same way and I still do. It was the only way for me to recall what I did the night before. Your mind races and you have to write it down just to get it out rather then talk to someone. I admit the first time I read it I was shocked and couldn't believe that this could happen to anyone, and then you open your eyes to reality and see that this goes on everyday but we turn our heads because we do not want to deal with it. READ this book, open your eyes and take a look at what can happen. This is not me preaching to you about not taking drugs or anything like that. This is me saying what a great book this is and how one can learn so much from such a young person, and not to mention, if you are a male and want a book that shows how guys can go through the same thing, read Jays Journal.

Summary: it could be anyone
Review: i thought this book was a really good look at the life of someone who was on drugs. The highs and the lows. She used to be a normal girl with a lot going for her, and as soon as she started using drugs things went downhill. The only part i didnt like was the epilogue, its just so sad that as soon as her life was back on track....i wont tell the ending for those of you who havent read it.

Summary: Moved but not Convinced
Review: Go Ask Alice was a book that i picked up and read in one sitting. It just kept you interested. I think it is a good book, because I mean all parents tell you the bad things about drugs and what will happen to you if you do them, but this approaches the subject in a different manner. It tells you the high points of drugs, but it also shows the consequences. I think it was a very good book, but I'm just not convinced that it is a real diary. I'm a 14 year old girl, and I've kept a diary before and teenage girls just don't write like that. But even if it is not a TRUE diary, it is still a good book worth reading.

Summary: Had me Hooked From The Second I Picked it Up
Review: Go Ask Alice is one of the most powerful books I have ever read. It goes to show what drugs REALLY can do to you.
"Alice" (aka anonomous) is a teenage girl, who's life is finally turning around. She has lost weight, moving to a new house she ecstatic about. She has a new boyfriend and finally getting over her old one.
"Alice" goes to a party where some of the drinks have drugs in them. "Alice" gets one of them... she now can't get away from it.
Read this REAL diary and find out how much of an impact drugs have on you. Even if you try to get it out of your past, it keeps on coming back....
I reccomend this book for all teens between the 8th and 11th grade.

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: Go Ask Alice was an intriguing, yet disturbing look at the life of a typical high-schooler who finds herself dragged into the dark world of drugs. This book helped me understand how dangerous drugs could be and how much more the price of life is. I would recommend this book to everyone, not just because it's a reality check on drugs, but because it enthralls you and opens your eyes to the sites of the 60s. The book captivated me from the first page, and I loved it.
