Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: I have read this book about 6 times, and I could never put it down, it is just unbeliveable diary of a 15 year old drug user, as I am the same age I have same understanding of what she is going on about, Go Ask Alice is very frightening you don't know if this is going to happen to you. Alice was born to be a writer with the natural gift of language and observation, I do rechommand this book for the young, it is very short, powerful and dangerous.

Summary: Fast paced
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. In the book everything seemed to move too fast. Alice's life went so fast that sometimes I would get confused with all of the names and drugs that she had did. The book is very good though.

Summary: Go Ask Alice Review
Review: Go Ask Alice was a very good book... Even though it was very emtional it was a good book all together... It's shows what teenagers go through.. too parties, peer presure, friends, family. Everything is exactley the way teenagers feel at times..Sometimes teen's feel like no one can relate or that they at times can relate to us.. It just shows the hardship's that teen's my face as they grow up they learn to deal with things or they learn the hard way and start doing drugs and get sucked into a vortex.Im not really sure if i believe that this book is all true but i think that parts of this book are true and parts Beatrice Sparks just made up. to make it intresting and longer.. Or maybe even she left out parts to make it not so outrageous im really not sure. All the reviews that i have read are all differnt. One review says its real the next says it not real.

Summary: A powerful anti-drug message
Review: For me, anyway. I know it wasn't written or published solely for that purpose but for me it really struck home the dangers and unpredictability of drug use.

I think I was 12 or 13 when I read it and I'm glad I did. One of the parents of a kid at my school tried to get it banned, which I completely disagree with. I think everyone should read this book.

For Alice, who could be anyone at all and still exists in many people today, the downward spiral began rather quickly. Of course not every person who experiments with drugs becomes an addict or winds up dead from it, as everyone is different, but this book is an important cautionary tale.

Summary: Curiosity .......
Review: I would have to agree with the opinions here that this is a fabulous book. However, it did not scare me from taking drugs or leading a similar life as "Alice". On the contrary, it made me desire them, and the lifestyle, more. I had a similar upbringing as the girl in the story and her use of drugs to combat pain made sense to me. Some people, like "Alice", are not able to stop in time. It took me 20 years to quit, and I suffer greatly from years of abuse (physically & mentally). My suggestion is; if you are reading this as a teen, and have similar problems...find someone to talk to. ...

Summary: drug free forever
Review: I read Go Ask Alice when I was 8. I'm now 26, and to this day have never tried drugs, thanks to this book. If that's not a good enough reason to read it, I don't know what is. And who cares about propaganda? Who cares if it's even a real diary? A young adult or teenager isn't going to analyze every nuance of the book, they are going to get the overall message of what drugs can do. And hopefully, like me, they will never be tempted. Especially in today's society, a book like this can change the course of someone's life.

Summary: Alice
Review: When I first picked up the book "Go ask alice" I was not sure if the story would be interesting. After reading a couple of pages, I found myself tangled in an anonymous girl's struggle with school, friends, family, death, and drugs. This story really captures a teenager's problems and pressures from everyday life.
In the begining of the story, you meet a girl named Alice. Alice in a normal teenager trying to please her parents, fit in with friends, and deal with her weight. Durring the summer, she is sent to live with her grandparents. This is where her downward spiral with drugs begins. At first, she was excited when a popular girl invited her to her party. Little does Alice know, these people would be the first to introduce her to drugs. After her first trip, Alice in hooked. Durring the rest of the story, you follow Alice as she battles with her drug addiction, deaths in her family, and being harrased by her friends.
This book is a very detailed, and amazing story that really gets you into the mind of a teenager with a lot of problems. The sad part is that Alice could be anyone. Alice could be your sibling, your best friend, or your mom. Even scarier, Alice could be you. So, if you decide to read the book "Go ask Alice" you have to keep in mind that this is a true story. The events in this book happened, and similar stories like this are unfolding as I type. I hope that by reading this book, you are influenced to help a friend or family member with a drug problem.

Summary: What a trip
Review: This book provides a harrowing account of profound teenage despair. Although this girl's life is more extreme than most, I think her story is an indictment of American society. With coldness surrounding her, this girl has nowhere to turn. "Go Ask Alice" is a well-written, painful account of the depths to which a teenager can sink under the wrong circumstances. Avery Z. Conner, author of "Fevers of the Mind".

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: This book is one of the greatest books written in my opinion. It is a very emotial diary of a teenager whos life pretty much ends when she does drugs. Being a teenage my self this book made me relieve all the bad stuff that can happen if you do drugs. I mean, I knew what happens when you do drugs, becuase we learn about it in school. But this book touched me on a more personal note. It made me feel like Alice was someone i knew doing drugs and ruining their life. It steers me way away from ever even thinking about doing drugs. They are stupid and a bad thing. These 188 pages pretty much sums that up in a very understandable way.
