Summary: A complete guilty pleasure!
Review: After a stressful junior year full of books like The Scarlet Letter, The Great Gatsby, and The Grapes of Wrath, I was eager to fill my summer with some lighter literature. I found the first Gossip Girl book (...)and read it about five times. After what seemed like an endless wait, the second novel came out, and I ate it up. Although you may not want to do your AP English 4 book report on it, You Know You Love Me is an awesome book if you're into gossip, money, shopping, scandal, and relationships (and who isn't???). The storyline, about a group of devious high society New York kids, may not relate to many people, but that's why we love it so much! However, I WAS able to relate to some of the things the characters are going through, especially their college applications and interviews (...). I would definitely reccomend this book, and the first Gossip Girl, to any teenage girl who's looking for a book that will make you smile but not make you think too hard.

Summary: What do I think? -Clark PLC-
Review: Having read the first book in this series, I understand Cecily Von Ziegesar's writing style. I am a fan of how she writes about bizarre occurrences which fall in the way of her characters path of life. By writing mostly about upper-class families, this book is alluring to most teens and I recommend it to all girls who are looking for a fun story. The diverse personalities of Von Ziegesar's characters, makes this novel more dramatic and entertaining to read. The young adults in the book have to deal with many hardships and obstacles to make it through graduating and applying to colleges. They must attend interviews which they aren't quite yet prepared for, and must use wit and charm to overcome the slack and nerves that they have gathered. Dan, a writer who is too involved in his up scaled girlfriend Serena, plays a big role in this story while being not as well-off as his companions. Other than having to deal with Dan's emotional poems, Serena must try to bring back her lost relationship with her old best friend while being stuck with her after a horrible wedding of an imperfect couple. Throughout this climactic novel, all characters must find a way to be victorious in their strenuous battles of being a graduated teen.

Summary: Better than the first and more entertaining
Review: yes this was more entertaining and better that the first book titiled, "Gossip Girl". You can forget even reading gossip girl, and just read this. Dan is dating serena and is pathetically obsessing over her. Serena, being the selfish perfect girl who can get any guy, takes dan's sappy love poems the worng way and gets scarred of the poor boy who is just trying so hard. Will he realize serena is only a sex object and nothing else?

Blair faces hardships of getting into college, her mother wedding, and her new step brother. Blair is a brat, her step brother is the coolest, most humble and down to earth guy in this book. props to that.

Blair is also trying to hard to make nate have only eyes for her, but nate is a slut. and a pedophile.

Jenny is the obsessed-over-serena 14 yr old sap who has been stalking serena since the first book. She goes off on her own and does a bit of shmoozing in town.

I enjoyed it.

Summary: If you're like me, you'll love this book!
Review: Well, where do I begin? As you know I read the book, You Know You Love Me, by Celicity von Ziegesar, in the Gossip Girl series. Personally I felt that the book really touched upon a lot of things that real high school students face every day of their lives. I would know since I am one of those many high school students.
One of the things I loved about the book is deffinatley how it sort of makes you think about how much the characters in the book, are really like you in one way or another. For example, Blair is very much like me. She has some idea of what she wants out of life, but is more conserned about what her boyfriend thinks of her, and how her hair looks, than going to college. What she doesn't know is that her boyfriend Nate is cheating on her with a freshman in their high school.
The girl's name is Jenny and she is so happy to be going out with a senior, that she totally forgets that this senior is Blair's boyfriend. When she finally realizes this, she is to attached to Nate to let him go, so she just sits back and thinks that things are over with Nate and Blair.
Now that you know three of the characters, let me give you the last two! Dan and Serena! Blair and Serena used to be best freinds, up until the point that Serena got kicked out of school, and came back a totally different person. Now Blair's mom is getting married, and guess who's one of the brides maids? Serena! Will the two of them get along? I'm not going to tell you, you'll have to read the book! Now meet Dan.
Dan is in love with Serena, but he gets the feeling that she just likes him as a friend. On a weekend trip to colleges with her, and former best friend Nate, Blairs boyfriend, another reason for the hatred between Serena and Blair, he'll find out about the real Serena. What will he think after that? You'll have to find out for your self!
I loved all of the suspense between all of the chracters in the book, and all also like how everything flows together in it. One thing I didn't like was how each chapter was about a different person, but after a while you got used to how they moved from person to person.
I loved this book, and I hope that after reading this book review, you'll go out and read it too!

Summary: Gotta "Love" It
Review: GOSSIP GIRL took off like a rocket with teen girls, full of high school cliques, backstabbing, dating, lying, partying and more. Its followup, YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME, continues the trend, with the trendy New York high school characters making things more complicated and more sordid every step of the way.

At the core of the story is Blair, whose mother is getting married to man Blair cannot stand. Not only that, but he's bringing along his reggae-wannabe son, who is nearly Blair's age but not exactly in her social class. Blair's former best friend, Serena, is every photographer's dream - and every boy's dream as well. Blair's boyfriend is cheating on her with a freshman girl. Throughout it all, Blair wishes she was Audrey Hepburn and tries to get into college.

The buzz for this book series continues to grow, and so do the secondary characters. Thankfully, they get a little more fleshed out in this story. The mystery surrounding the identity of Gossip Girl, the chic chick online who always has inside information on the group, continues. She knows who's hot and who's not - and this book is certainly hot among teen readers.

Summary: Engaging and exciting
Review: Gossip Girl is a great series. The characters are relatable but they live these lifestyles that everyone wants to live. They're georgeous and popular and have the money to buy fabulous clothes and go on great vacations. but the books are balanced out by the things that go wrong in their lives. In the second gossip girl book Blair and Nate's relationship is deteriorating along with Blair's life. Her mother's dating a loser and now her old best friend Serena, who is georgeous and fun and perfect is back and Blair is out of the spotlight. I loved this novel and I can't wait for more to come out!

Summary: You know you love me is the best book ever!
Review: The book You know you love me was the best. My friend Kelly told me about it while we were talking so I decided to give it a try. I am a senior in high school so many of the things that Blair and Serena experienced I may have to experience sooner or later that's why the book was helpful to me. In New York it seems a lot different than California, I understand that the girls attend private school but there is still a big difference in schools. I attend Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California and, there are still 'cool' people and then there are the losers. At my school there is "DA POLE" where all the cool people hang out and well every where else is just there. I hang out there and I don't think that I'm a better person because of it I really enjoy the attention at times. At other times it can be rather frustrating. Buying a pair of jeans one week and the next four other girls have them I hate that. I am sure Blair has gone through that plenty of times. But that is the least of her worries in this book. With Nate cheating on her with a younger girl that has to hurt. All of this at the most important time in her life, her mother is remarrying, her father is Gay and she is ready to lose her virginity. My instincts tell me that she is glad she made the decision that she did. With this book now being my favorite now I would recommend it to anyone whom loves gossip. Sure no one loves gossip when it's about him or her but who doesn't like to hear a good story from time to time. Read it, it will change the way you look at things. It definitely changed me!

Summary: Addictive
Review: "Gossip Girl" is the most addicting series I have read. Blair and Serena's friendship has its ups and downs though the whole series, you begin to love them for it. They are New York's finest, and they live a lux life that you cant help but admire. They party every weekend, and if there isn't one scheduled, they make one. They organize benefit parties to help the less fortunate, just for an excuse to party.

The characters are interesting, and the storyline is addicting. You should really have the second one ordered when you start the first, so when you are done you can just keep on reading.

The number of characters and views of all their lives and feelings, lets you into their world. They are all friends, and you are one of them when you know everything about them. All of them are individuals, and you get to know all of them.

I would definitely recommend this to most likely teenage girls. However, it could be used as a tool for guys to understand us...
