Summary: A thrilling tale of reality and fantasy
Review: "A Wrinkle In Time" is an exciting piece of work by one of the best authors for young adults. Young science fiction fans will love this story of Meg's journey through space and time accompanied by her young prodigy brother, Charles Wallace, her best friend, Calvin, and three strange old ladies. This Newberry Medal Winner is Madeleine L'Engle at her very best. This incredible journey will leave readers rushing to the library for more of L'Engle's books. "A Wrinkle In Time" fills the gap between reality and fantasy. It will be enjoyed by generations to come

Summary: an adventurous romp for all ages
Review: I've been reading and re-reading this book since I was eleven. It never ceases to keep me on the edge of my seat. Charles, Meg and the gang get to do stuff I always dreamed of. It skillfully mixes adventure with sci-fi and throws in a little new age to keep things interesting. This book will delight children of ALL ages. A great book for parents to take along to the cottage for campfire and bedtime read a longs. This book is the start of a series by L'Engle which will keep you busy all year long

Summary: "A Wrinkle In Time" changed my life!
Review: I read "Wrinkle" in the mid 1960s when I was about 14 years old. The book opened my imagination to possibilities that I desperately wanted to come true. I was stirred on a deep level by the humanity of the characters, even though some of them are clearly beyond human. The book affirms the power of love over evil, which was (and is) a message sorely needed by young people just beginning to face the terrors of adulthood. This story is beloved by thousands of readers, many of whom read "Wrinkle" as a young adult and now read it or lend it to their own children. The novel has a unique warmth and charm, and a message that is both risky and redemptive; I fully endorse "A Wrinkle In Time" as appropriate for anyone from 10-100

Summary: I loved this book, especially Miss L'Engle's discriptions.
Review: Miss L'Engle writes a wonderful novel in this story. Her disctiptions are my personal favorite, yet her memorable characters are my second favorite. She wrote with such emotion, that she had even my numb brother felt for Meg as she searched for her father. I reccommend this book for anyone who loves wild fictional stories that take you out of this world

Summary: A defense...
Review: I was noticing that several readers appeared either unimpressed by "A Wrinkle in Time" or somewhat doubtful that a book of this caliber could be understood by children. I always try to live by the motto, "Each to her/his own" but I feel that in this case, I really must stick up for this wonderful book. I first read this book when I was about 11 years old and I remember falling in love with it on the spot. The main characters, consisting of two siblings and an awkward young man, become embroiled in a search for the father of the siblings. The distinctly sci-fi/fantasy slant of the book is only a small part of it's charm. The fact that all the main characters are in one way or another, misfits and yet still manage to work together and form a coherent 'team', is an important lesson for the young reader. A series of difficult tests involving the strengths and weaknesses of each main character is integral in showing the reader that we all have our weak points and yet, we can all make important contributions by making use of our own particular strengths. In "A Wrinkle in Time" and her following books, L'Engle has created the thinking child's story. I remember being challenged by much of what I read but it was presented in such an entertaining format that rather than being confused, I was eager to understand the various references to science, math, and mythology. This is a book for all ages.

Summary: Umm... Don't bother
Review: All I can say is: this book is bizzare. In my opion, it was too new age and somewhat occultic. It was just not worth reading

I'M 29 YEARS OLD NOW AND I HAVE NEVER EVER FORGOTTON THE BOOK "A WRINKLE IN TIME" IT IS LIKE AN OLD FRIEND THAT I KNEW MANY YEARS AGO THAT I WOULD LIKE TO ONCE AGAIN REVISIT

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It has lots of action and is the best book ever made
Review: It an awsome book about a girl who has to save her brother from the cluches of IT. It had lots of action it made think I was really there

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: An original combination of Sci-Fi and Fantasy
Review: This book by L'Engle was refreshingly original in the fantasy or sci-fi genre, but was also very confusing. This book is not for young readers, as much of it is too confusing for them to understand. The book lacks action when compared to most other fantasy/sci-fi books

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must read for any child
Review: This is a magical story which awakens the imagination to new possibilities. Meg's strength in the midst of great trouble is inspirational. I remember reading this story 20 years ago or more. My children will read this book in the next millenium, and I'm sure it will still hold the same mystery and magic
