Summary: Who Needs Television with Imagery Like This
Review: There are some books too bold and imaginative to ever become movies. L'Engle's "A Wrinkle in Time" will always be one of those, encouraging the creative process in young and old. I read this book when I was 11; an avid reader, it's still my favorite book at age 32. Ms. L'Engle gave us flawed, intelligent and courageous characters that we bring to life in our minds like no movie can do. The images of Meg, Charles Wallace, Calvin and (my favorite) Mrs. Beast are mine forever

Summary: A book one never forgets!
Review: My sixth grade teacher read this book to my class, a chapter a day, after lunch. I couldn't wait for each day's reading. My friends and I would go out at recess and pretend that we were the characters in the book. We tried to run fast, on our tiptoes just like they did in the book. When the teacher finished the story, I checked it out from our school library. I am working on my own novel for children, and this is one book that I will read over and over as an example to me of excellent writing.

Summary: Madeleine L'Engle's "A Wrinkle in Time"
Review: It has been years since I have read any childrens book. My 10 year old stepdaughter is at the age where she is just starting to enjoy reading adventure books. I decided for a summer gift to pick up some of my favorite books from my childhood. 'A Wrinkle in Time" has always been one of my favorites. Ms. L'Engle seemed to have a way with making me feel like I was Meg on the adventure to find her father. Her portrayal of Charles Wallace reminded me of my best friends brother. I had a feeling that Sara would enjoy 'A Wrinkle in Time' as much as I did. I was right! She has read it four times since May! Sincerely, Vicki L. Lowmiller

Summary: A Book to Dream With-The Tesseract Connection
Review: This is a super high interest story of Meg and her brother Charles Wallace and their search for their missing Father. They are assisted by 3 rather ecentric women and embark on an adventure filled search to outer space to encounter many challenging and interesting adventures. I recommend it most highly to upper elementary and secondary school students! written by Bob Townsen

Summary: Unforgettable...
Review: This is a beautiful fantasy- a journey through space and time- adventures and excitment, as witnessed by three children. Though the main characters are children, I think that this book is directed towards adults, mostly, for I, at 14 years of age, could not grasp several of the ideas expressed in the book about dimensions and time. Nonetheless, I could not help being impressed- this is a wonderful, well written, vividly described fantasy adventure that makes great demands on your imagination....I'll admit that in the begining I was not very eager to read this book- for it appeared strange.. Perhaps the true word is unusual. For this book is indeed original and unique... I really couldn't put it down- even now, after two weeks have passed since I read this book, I can still remember the details and descriptions of every creature and every adventure in this book, as if I had just finished it yesterday. Truly, this book is unforgettable

Summary: All Fantacy lovers; Read this!
Review: Adventures of Meg and her intalectual brother are just the surface of this book. As you move in, you see other universes, worlds, and time periods. Meg and Charles must bring back their father, from a world of the unknown. This book is full of compasion, hatred and the basics of any outstanding fantasy story. I loved this book and I think that that everyone should read this wonderful book

Summary: "I was devestated when this fairy tale creation ended"
Review: A misfit young girl, Meg, thinks that there's nothing she can do right: She can't act right, look right, think right, or make friends. But something called the Tesseract changes her life forever. She journeys through space and learns that there is one thing she can do better then anyone else: love. This is by far the best book that I have ever read. I cried when it was over. It's not like other sci-fi books. It's a fantasy-like twist of a fairy-tale mixed with a little bit of magic. I strongly disagree with anyone who says that it is'nt for younger hearts because it is loved by the Young-at-Heart

Summary: These are my favs.
Review: These are very spiritual. IT, of course, is like the devil. And Meg overcomes IT. Sorry, I just gave away a fake ending! Or maybe it's true. No one will ever know enless they read it! I like Calvin's mom in "A Swiftly Titling Planet" in an odd way. She gives Charles Wallace a clue to his little adventure, but she treated he children bad. I like her, but I do not approve of her

Summary: This book is great- don't underestimate young readers!
Review: I have heard some people say this book is too confusing for young readers. Personally, this book became a favorite when I read it for the first time at 10 years, and it's still a favorite now that I'm 24. Sure, I may not have understood it all that first time, but the message-- love is the best way to conquer evil-- is understandable to all ages. And it did a lot to get me interested in math and science, and look where that got me-- I'm a 2nd-year veterinary student

Summary: A great book for all ages!
Review: This story is very confusing the whole way through. But I love books like that! I would have to stop and consider this more, but, I think this has got to be one of the finest books written. It is magical and mysterious and amazing! A must-read for anyone who loves adveture! I have to tell you though, this is one book you can't put a bookmark in. You must read it the whole way through without stopping. It's much easier to understand this way! Catlyn Caldart
