Summary: An all-time best read!
Review: Although it's been thirty-plus years since I first checked it out of the elementary school library, I still re-read A Wrinkle in Time at least once a year. And every time I read it, I feel the same sense of anticipation and excitement that I felt when opening it for the first time - reading the first few paragraphs and knowing in my gut that I wouldn't be doing anything else until I had finished it. In addition to being a "ripping good yarn," the book features the triumph of good over evil - along with some fairly sophisticated theological reasoning - strong and wise female characters (who don't all look like Angelina Jolie!), messages that different isn't neccessarily bad, and the dawning of adult consciousness and individual responsibility in the consciousness of its main protagonist, Meg Murry. Along witih its sequels, it's a lifetime favorite. And like all the best children's books, it's got a lot to say to adults, too. A must-read for the literate.

Summary: A Review on A Wrinkle in Time
Review: I really loved the book A Wrinkle in Time! The main characters are, Meg Murry, Calvin O'Keefe, and Charles Wallace Murry. The main plot of the book, is to find Meg and Charles Wallace's dad, and save him from IT, an evil thing. I thought when they traveled through space, it was really cool. There were many happy parts, along with a few sad parts. I reccomend this book to anyone 8 years old or above. One of my favorite parts was when Meg went inside the transparent column, to save her father. I really liked this book, and I reccomend it to everyone.

Summary: My All-Time Favorite
Review: I first heard this story when my mom read it to me chapter-by-chapter before bed every night when I was 6 years old. Since then, I must've read it 100 times.
I think my fascination with the book is two-fold: The story is so amazing, imaginative, fun and inventive; and the wave of nostalgia that sweeps over me every time I pick up the book can't be described.
I made a special trip to the cathedral library in New York City where Madeline L'Engle works to meet her. She was everything I thought she'd be. Small and quiet but she had eyes that sparkled like Mrs. Which's, Mrs. Whosit's and Mrs. Whatsit's...
An unbeatable story that everyone should read.

Summary: i remember it fondly
Review: i read Wrinkle again simultaneously to reading the first Harry Potter book.
This experiment was not exactly sound, since i had read Wrinkle before, and not Potter -- (the first books of both series,) but i was curious to see what the Potter cultural obsession was all about, and to see if it really held up against my favorite childhood book.
while i am no great fan of the Potter books, i had to admit that in comparison, Wrinkle seemed to drag.
However, i am still a devotee of L'Engle and i think that books like Wrinkle should be more widely acknowledged.
i devoured L'Engle's books when i was a kid, and i look forward to rereading the rest of this series -- more than i look forward to reading the next Potter book. (sorry Rowling fans!)

Summary: Thought provoking, 14 years later...
Review: I returned to this book after 14 years for no apparent reason; in fact, I had a dream about reading it and I remembered how it had intrigued me at one point so long ago. Today I feel that it is still a wonderful book, but two things come to mind that I think are worth mentioning:

First, this book isn't necessarily a young children's book. While it is written such that young people may grasp it, its concepts are complex and fundamental. Today's society feeds on such shallow garbage media that simple ideas like the struggle between good and bad, the value of family and love, would almost seem revolutionary. I recommend that teens, young adults, even the elderly read and enjoy this book. It is wonderful.

My second point is tangentally related to my first point, and stems from reviewing the other reader postings. Children as young as 12 are deriding this book because it lacks combat-style action and an unnecessarily climactic ending. What does this say about American children? They are losing their intellectual capacity, replacing it with pre-packaged, easy to swallow, simply satisfying quasi-drama. Parents, get your children away from popular media (Britney Spears, MTV, Hip-Hop, Hollywood, Jerry Springer...) and sit them in front of a wholesome book. Spend time with them. Teach them about the important things in life. Or else we are all doomed...

Summary: My Rate On A Wrinkle In Time
Review: I didn't really all that much enjoy A Wrinkle In Time. The reason is this, I think there should have been more action in it. Well besides that, it was an in the middle book. Then again, once you got to the ending, that ruined the book. I think the ending should have been more interesting; I thought it was kind of plain and boring. Also, it kind of just ended. I think it could have went on for at least one more chapter.

Summary: A Winkle In Time Evaluated
Review: I didn't like the book.I think it is too loving, like a nursery rhyme. I don't want there to be killing and death but I like action. Harry Potter is always getting in trouble and solving mysteries; Indiana Jones is too. Even Donald Duck and Looney Toons have more excitement. This book is more like Superman compared to all of the X-men. But, I still like the battle with IT and the Dark Thing.

Summary: A Wrinkle In Time
Review: This book to me wasn't very interesting to me. I didn't like the ending because it was cheap. They could of added more drama in the ending. The figurative language made no sense to me. I would reccomend this book to people who are interested in a science fiction book with stuff about the 5th dimension.

Summary: A Review of A Wrinkle in Time!
Review: I really didn't like the book that much. I would recommend it to an adult, but not to a child. It was somewhat slow in the begining but it became a little better. I would not ever read it again. I hope my little sisters don't ever have to read this.
