Summary: Challenging, but rewarding
Review: My daughter is currently reading A Wrinkle in Time for her 4th grade literature class. Often she has a tough time getting through the assigned number of pages. She sometimes says the book is "too hard," yet after she finishes a chapter, she very enthusiastically relates its plot to me. I believe that this is a good challenge for her and that it will ultimately prepare her for more complex literary adventures down the road.

A Wrinkle in Time By Madeline L'Engle

A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeline L'Engle is a great, interesting book. This book is about a girl named Meg, a boy named Charles Wallace, and a boy named Calvin. Meg, who's younger brother is Charles Wallace, loses her father who mysteriously disapears. While he is gone, an odd stranger arrives at Meg's and Charles's house who's name is Mrs. Watsit. Could this lady have anything to do with their father's disapearance? Will Meg's father eventually come home? It is up to Meg, Charles Wallace, and Meg's friend, Calvin to find him. Together they go through adventures through time and space.
This book is one of the best books of all time! There is a lot of suspense, which is why I like to read this book. I wanted to know what happened to Meg's father. Was he alive? Was he dead? I also liked how there is many details. It gives me a better comprehension of what is happening and what everything looks like. The words are very complexed and challenging, which is another reason why I like this book.
I reccomend A Wrinkle in Time to advaned readers who enjoy reading fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and mystery books. A Wrinkle in Time is a great book!!

Summary: Magical
Review: A true fantasy classic, this book never loses its appeal. Vivid characters, the frightening world of "Camazotz" and the hideous "IT" that lives within, and a daring plot to save a missing scientist and father all combine in an edge-of-your-seat story for young and old. L'Engle is a master story-teller, and her spell is woven from the first page. A "must read!"

Summary: Wrinkle in Time is # 1 for young adventoures readers
Review: This book is the best! I mean I started to read it at first and I didnt like it. But I just made myself read farther. And it is just so interesting. The Mrs. W's are pretty weird and scary in the beginning but you grow to love them. If you are a young reader and you like to learn about magic and you like science and math and things i suggest you read this book. I am moving on to the sequals right now and I will reveiw them when I am done. But when you read this one you have to read : A wind in the door , A swiftly tilting planet , and many waters. Madeleine L'engle is one of the best writers to me right now. And I love her use of imagination!!!

Summary: We are such stuff as dreams are made on
Review: I cried when I first read this book at least ten years ago, and to this day it still sends chills up my spine. "A Wrinkle In Time" is a celebration of beauty, excellence, and the human being. Any more than that I am reluctant to say, as this is a book one should experience for oneself.
