Everything was chaotic. The man with the machine gun opened fire, sensing that Alex must be near. But Alex was already down the street running. This is one of the many battles and chases that Alex faces in the Alex Rider Adventure series. The book I read was Eagle Strike. It's a realistic fiction book full of adventure and excitement on every page.
The book Eagle Strike was a great book. I really liked the other three books in the series but Eagle Strike was the best so far. I recommend this book to mostly boys who love to read action adventure books. It was a great book that was suspenseful and kept you reading.
As long as you can comprehend then you will understand this book. I connected to Alex (the main character), because he is a 14 year old boy, like me, that loves action. It was a great style of writing. It was like a movie. Who saw everything that happened from above?
There were many surprises in the book. One was when a man named Damian Cray makes a video game that scans you before you play. When you start you see an image of you in the game. You're the main character. It also looked real. The graphics were so realistic. That was just a small surprise. The book is full of even greater ones.
Eagle Strike wasn't boring at all. I loved every part of it. I could read it for hours non-stop. My mind didn't wander when reading either. It was too interesting to let my mind wander. The plot was great. It's basically about a 14 year old spy who has to save the world. Again anyone would love to read this book.
Altogether Eagle Strike is a great book. I recommend it to anyone. It's full of adventure and action. If you like action books you'll love this book. "To take a life and save a life with one bullet... that's not a bad going."
Rating: Summary: I absolutely LOVED it! Review: Alex Rider is on his 4th adventure in Europe. It starts when Alex is on a vacation with his girlfriend Sabina. When he's on the beach he sees his prime enemy Yassen Gregorovich. He wonders why he would be there so he decides to investigate. Once he's on their trail an absurd bomb goes off nearly killing Sabina's father. But why? He finds out why that happened and discovered that her dad had secret info and links to why Yassen is there. He figures out that pop star Damain Cray has a plan to do something! To do what? Destroy the world like in the past? But why? You'll have to read it to find out what happens!
Anthony Horowitz is the author of this incredible series. I think that he does an excellent job of displaying adventure, horror, and in a way love. It's a great book that either gender will like. (Unless you have a weak stomach, hate good books and are in no mood for a thrilling adventure!)
Rating: Summary: An huge reader Review: Eagle Strike is the 4th book in the Alex Rider series. When the house he is staying is bombed, he must figure out who is behind it. Alex goes to MI6 but they will not help him because he suspects Damian Cray, a mulimillion pop-star who has given millions to charity. So Alex goes out on his own to bring justice to the person that hurt Sabina's father (Alex was staying with Sabina). At the end, something BIG is revealed and it will leaving stunned. I cannot wait until the next book, Scorpia, is delivered to my house next map. I have it coming from London.
Rating: Summary: Best of this brilliant series! Review: Eagle Strike is the perfect teen spy novel. Combining action across numerous European countries, celebrities who aren't what they seem, Air Force One, politics, and enough chase scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire book, this is undoubtedly the best Alex Rider adventure yet. Rider is holidaying in France with Sabina, his new best friend, and her family, when the man he fears most - Russian contract killer Yassen Gragorovich - shows up to make things interesting. Yassen seems to be uninterested in Alex, not even knowing he's in the area, but Rider being a suspicious kid cannot help but get in his way. After going out one day, he returns to find the house he's been staying at has been blown up, and Sabina's father in intensive care. This leads to the discovery of a strange plot involving a famous singer, Damien Cray, who has developed a world-beating video game system named Gameslayer. This seems to be nothing more than a marketing move sure to pay off dividends for Cray, but the more Alex Rider delves into this Gameslayer and Damien Cray, who was on the end of a phone Alex called from France after the bombing, the more sinister Cray's part in the events becomes. This leads to Alex travelling around Europe with his trusty guradian Jack in search of the truth and the bad guys, but the bad guys find him first. Rider is stuck in the middle of a plan with deadly consequences. The world's most powerful celebrity has control of the world's most dangerous weapons, and his intentions are unthinkable. A brilliant climax will have you on edge waiting to know how things work out. An explosive secret regarding Alex's history will also be unearthed! A must read novel for fans of the series. If you haven't started the Alex Rider series yet, start now!!! Much recommended.
Rating: Summary: Greatest in the Series Review: For those of you who have read the previous Alex Rider novels, you would know that Alex has saved thousands of lives on each of his missions. Anthony Horowitz then turns up the heat and produces this great book. Instead of protecting one or two cities from one nuclear warhead, Alex is faced with the most difficult task of preventing 25 nuclear missles from destroying cities around the globe. Horowitz takes the action and suspense up a level producing an outstanding book.
Rating: Summary: Eagle Strike Review: Hey this is Jack Harder and I am talking bout the book Eagle Strike is about Alex, a 14 year old spy.Has a big hunch about a huge superstar having big plan to blow up differrent places in the world to destroy them. He is controlling these rocketes from the U.S in the Air force 1 the presedints private plane. I think was a GREAT book for the teenagers.
Rating: Summary: HOW COULD IT GET ANY BETTER?????????? Review: I first read Stormbreaker a few years ago and was intrigued, but I never thought of there being a sequel, for some reason. But while I was at the bookstore I ran across the others and eagerly read them all. In my opinion, Eagle Strike is the best of them, drawing from the other books but unique in its own way. I was exetremely happy to see Yassen Gregorovich back again, since I had an odd fascination with him, but the ending was a letdown for me---not saying anymore about that!
Though this book was hard to relate to-how many kids can say they saved the world?-it was interesting and oddly believable! Also, the age category is 9-12, but anyone older than that can thoroughly enjoy it, as I did. I think Anthony Horowitz is extremely talented and develops a plot and characters that evoke all sorts of emotions from readers.
I can't wait until Scorpia is released in the US; I will be first in line to get it!
Rating: Summary: So far the greatest in the series Review: I got Eagle Strike in from London a few weeks ago because I just couldn't wait for it to come out in the US. I like to read books about young agents, like Alex Rider, and enjoy movies about them, such as Agent Cody Banks (even though it was a little over-rated). Point Blank had let me down a little but I love the series and Anthony Horowitz has kept it alive with this one. It is a must read for anyone who has kept up with the series or has even read the first, Stormbreaker. I would be devestated if Anthony Horowitz slowed down with writing the books. It is pretty fast paced after the begining. In the car chase, Horowitz has great taste and chose the perfect Porche. Damian Cray was not as I thought he would be but I also hadn't read very many reviews of the book. Yassen Gregorovich had been a facination of mine since the end of Stormbreaker and I am glad he was back. Towards the end of the book some things were revealed that I had suspected from the begining and want to know more about in the next book, Scorpia, which I have coming in a few weeks from London. It is highly anticipated and sure to be great after this work. I would highly recommend you get Eagle Strike at the first possible opportunity.
Rating: Summary: Eagle Strike (reveiw) Review: I reccomend Eagle Strike for any one who loves action and lots of explosions... I absolutley hate the ending but either than than that its the best book ive ever read(besides "Skeleton Key") if you dont already know Alex Rider (the main char.) works for M16 (wich is discised as "The Royal and General Bank") because his uncle was killed while he was on duty (by the way he never knew his father or mother but he learns about his father in this book)so alex was the next in line his uncle (Ian Rider)had been training him for it since he was little. any way you get the point he just goes thrugh some awesome experiences wich kinda ruin his life. Well that's my review. from Ian Meyer (...)
Rating: Summary: My favorite in the series. Review: I've been reading the series ever since stormbreaker came out, and I swear that this one is the best yet! In this book it starts with a proluoge that keeps your hands glued to the book. Then, alex meets up with Yassen again (The russian contract killer from the first book). Alex learns more about Yassen, and about a man named Cray, who is freaking insane. Alex is caught several times and he manages to use his awsome skills to escape every time. But, the one thing that will make you crazy, wanting to find out what happens in the next book is what happens at the end. Yassen is about to die, and he reveals a secret to Alex about his father. It's a real shocker (I was probably more surprised than alex was), it's so unbelievable that alex wont even accept it. But Yassen tells alex that if he doesn't believe him he should go to Vience, and find Scorpia. Thats the last thing he ever says. Scorpia, the next book, was already released in the UK (Why don't we get it early also?!). Anyways, Eagle strike is a really cool book, alex is still with sabina, and there are some parts in the book where you'll laugh at the irony of it, or be stunned by something you never expected. There are chases, surprises, and thrillers throughout the whole book, making it impossble to sleep at night without knowing what happens next. This is THE best book in the series so far, and I strongly recomend getting it. It's definatly worth the money.
