Summary: Find the midnight oil, you're going to need it.
Review: I first read this book about three months ago and I've read it two more times since then. I recommend Eragon to every serious reader that I come in contact with. This is simply an amazing book that will keep you up all night reading, wanting to find out what happens next.

Summary: Favorite book
Review: Christopher Paolini came to my high school in Seattle last month, Chief Sealth. I could not get a book at the end. I had no money with me. I begged my mom to get me a bbook. She found a copy at the University Book Store. I have read Eragon two times and will read it again over the Thanksgiving break.

I am awestruck how a teenager my age wrote and got published a book. I read whenever I have a spare minute. I love Tolkien, Pullman, Asimov, Heinlein, and Bradbury's works. I put Eragon in my all-time favorites list.

I can't say any more than what other reviewers have written on Eragon. Eragon rocks!

Summary: Eragon
Review: My mother bought Eragon at [a local book retailer] when Christopher Paolini was here signing books.

I am 14 and Eragon is my favorite book. I read it five times so far. Even though I know it's coming, the part where Brom dies makes me cry every time.

I love the book cover. I take Eragon to school with me. My friends see me coming down the halls with Saphira's eye pointed outward. I feel Saphira's presence and protection....

Summary: Imaginative and Insightful
Review: I went to the library and saw this book lying on the shelf. The eye of a dragon with brilliant blue eyes stared out at me. I was intriguged to say the least. I took the book home and put off reading it for about a week. I finally got enough time to read the book. It took only one paragraph to get me hooked with the intricate details in which this story is told and the imaginative words created by the author and the creative plot line that gives twists that are desperatly needed for the dreary tv land that we now live in. I recomend this book to anyone who like fantasy novels and Tolkien and Harry Potter. I loved it so much that I decided to buy it.

Summary: Review of Eragon-- written by a young author
Review: My teacher stepped into the room, declaring lightly that she had been visiting a book fair over the weekend. I stared blankly as she presented book after book for the only other kids in my school-- two second graders. But my ears perked as she said, "This one I got especially for Alice, in a way. Eragon is by a young author from right here in Montana." My eyes widened as I fixed them on the great blue eye on the cover, surrounded by silver scales. A dragon! One of my favorite creatures in the known universe.
"Even though I only glanced through it, I am amazed at Christopher Paolini's use of words. I must say, you will probably enjoy this, Alice."
It had to be a dream. It just had to be. It was like the perfect match.. Eragon--me. I found myself reaching out greedily dispite myself, but quickly checked it and forcefully jammed my hands into my lap.
I only listened with half an ear as my teacher explained how she hadn't gotten it filed into the school library as of yet, but I didn't care. Eragon was soon in my hands, and I reluctantly set it to the side of my desk.
"I'll read it at recess," I thought to myself.

Now, just a few weeks later, I find myself somewhere in the middle of the wonderful book of fantasy, magic, and adventure. I am frequently tempted to stash the book away in my backpack, dispite my teacher's warnings.
Someday, I knew it, I would find a copy of my own. I would never sell it. It was a beacon of hope for my own writings, and I knew that my children, too, would love the book as much as I did.

Summary: Bedtime story
Review: I purchased a signed copy of Eragon from the author at the Northwest Bookfest last month in Seattle. I was intruiged by this young man dressed in a Renaissance-era outfit. He was personable and talked me into getting a book. How could I not buy his book? It's not every day you meet an 18 year old who has a book published.

I read the first two chapters while eating at the Bookfest. I brought the book home and my children, 8 and 10, wanted to know what the book with the blue eye was. That night I read the first two chapters to them as their bedtime story. They wanted me to keep reading. Instead, I promised to read Eragon to them each night.

That was two weeks ago. I have held myself back from jumping ahead to find out what adventure Eragon, Brom, and Saphira have next, so I can read to the children their bedtime story.

Soft light shines into their bedroom while Eragon is read. The children never want me to stop reading. From dinnertime to bedtime, they constantly are asking when can we go upstairs to our bedroom to hear the next installment of Eragon.

The children are so taken with Eragon and Christopher Paolini, they ask questions about who he is, where he lives, what he eats, what color pen or pencil does he write with, does he use a computer? They never stop.

When I read to them at night, Eragon is a novel in technicolor. We all see the story in our mind's eye. I feel like I go about my daily business with an Eragon DVD inserted into my head.

I want to know how Eragon finishses, but we are savoring each chapter like fine wine. I love this book!

Summary: Amazing
Review: I read a ton of science fiction fantasy. My mom gave this to me as a present for going into my first debate tournament and doing very well. I got this book a few days ago and i just finished it. It's one of the best I have every read. This is better then Lord of the Rings, and I must say in many ways much better then Harry Potter. I strongly suggest reading this book. It will keep you entertained, and I promise you, you will definitaly be breatlessly waiting for the next installment in this series once you are done. This has action, magic, dragons, and a great plot that will keep you guessing. I am only 13 and even though I am young I have read a lot! of Science Fiction Fantasy books, and this is the Best. If you buy it treasure your time reading it, enjoy!
