Rating: Summary: a book for christians everywhere. Review: An excellent illustration of the end of the world. It has an excellent message, but the first few books are a little on the borin side, but after the wrath of the lamb earthquake in one of the later books things really start to heat up. Although they are extremely fast reading and they are written in such simple language, the message should strengthen faith for christians of any age. These books are the begginning of a massive series depicting the last years of the earth, armageddon, and the rise of the Anti-Christ, and the persecution of Christians and Jews in the last years of the world. Even though I wish non-christians would pick up this book to read, I doubt that it would have anywhere near the effect it should have on a christian reader. I would recomend this to a non-christian who is open minded and not completely set in the ways they were brought up.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Great books, the first few are a bit boring but they get much better. Don't be fooled by how small these books are they have a Great message and are action packed. The characters Judd, Vicky, Ryan and Lional are all left behind when the second coming of christ happens. The books are great for kids and adults waiting for the next of the adult books to come out. If you are a christian or just wondering about christianity these books will tell you what to expect in the years of the tribulation.
Rating: Summary: These books really teach you on how the Rapture might happen Review: I loved these great Christian books and cannot wait for the others to come out! The last 5 books I got so interested in I read all of them in 3 days! Also, they helped me come to know God more because when the Rapture happens, if it does, I know that I am not going to be Left Behind!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Books Review: I really liked this set of books, especially when I started to read the adult books {For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the adult series titles are: Left Behind, Tribulation Force, Nicolae, Soul Harvest, Apollyon, Assassins, The Mark, and Desecration, [soon to be released]} and saw how they tie in with the kids' books. Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan are vivid characters. They are real enough that I just have to finish each one I get that very day. I managed to get the two new ones read in one day.
Rating: Summary: LEFT BEHIND KIDS Review: I THINK THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT MY YOUNGER SISTER HAS READ IT. IT'S DEFINETLY AN EYE OPENER; HOWEVER I'M STILL WORKING AT MY SON TO FINISH THE OTHER BOOKS 3,4,5,6 HE'S ONLY NINE AND READING IS NOT IS FAVOURITE COMPANION AT THE PRESENT. REGARDLESS I THINK ALL SCHOOL SHOULD BE USING THESE BOOKS INSTEAD OF HARRY POTTER, THERE WOULD DEFINETLY BE SOME CHANGES WITHIN THESE CHILDREN MR JENKINS & LAHAYE I THINK GOD HAS USED THESE MEN IN A WONDERFUL WAY I THANK YOU FOR TRULY OPENING MY EYES MY GOD BLESS YOU TO REACH MORE OF US.
Rating: Summary: The Vanishing Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the Left Behind series of books about the kids. If anyone does not know about God and is not aware of the choice you have to make as an individual in your lifetime the books will really make you think. The thought of being left behind horrifies me. You do not know what your future will hold or if you will ever get another chance. As the four children's eye's were being opened wide, they realized what they had missed and were going to do everything in takes to try again, this time better though.
Rating: Summary: Eyes Opened Wide Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the Left Behind series of books about the kids. The book starts off with four regular families living everyday lives. Some of them are very Godly people and some of them are not. The four children left behind were all shocked to find out that their families were gone. The rapture had come, and they were left behind. The book tells about the life after the rapture. If you are on earth, it is like you are in hell. The children realize they have to get in right with God, start living a Godly life and try their best to be like they should, for when God comes back, they want to go with him. If anyone does not know about God and is not aware of the choice you have to make as an individual in your lifetime, these books will really make you think. The thought of being lift behind horrifies me. You do not know what your future holds, or if you will ever get another chance. As the four children's eyes were being opened wide, they realize what they have missed and what they were going to have to do. They have to do everything it takes to try again, this time better though. As the children learn the truth and search desperatly for answers, they realize the after affects of the happening and realize what that they HAVE to do better and study the word of Jesus Christ and get closer to God day by day all day everyday. I recommend this series of books to everyone, everywhere. It really opens your eyes and makes you think. It in a way scares you and makes you just want to be closer to God and be in the word. Because of the descriptions and happenings in the book, they just seem so real and just true that it scares you to just not want to be with family and friends forever and never alone. Everyone needs to read these books and continue on by reading the words of Jesus Christ.
Rating: Summary: Just awful! Review: I wanted to research the current state of children's books, so I saw this long series -- that indicated that the books were popular -- and bought the first volume. If you're a fundamentalist Christian wanting to read fundamentalist writing, this book is for you. If you like something that doesn't talk down to kids and has some semblance of a complete plot, look somewhere else. This book reads like a prologue, not a novel. It's preaching to the converted. ....
Rating: Summary: Super de Duper Book Review Review: Left Behind was the best book I've ever read! The book wasvery exciting. My favorite part was at the end when the kids wheregoing to recieve Christ as their savior. I would recomend this book to anyone anywhere.
Rating: Summary: Christian propaganda? Yeah right. Review: Mark Moore has it wrong. These books are Christian but they are not propaganda. These books tell about something that I (and many other people) believe will happen. Mark also says that it is "ludicrous" to believe that the world would be in chaos if all the Christians dissapeared. Let's see millions disapear from all types of jobs AND without warning and not have chaos. Not only that, but certain world leaders could disapear. No chaos? Give me a break.
I think Mark's accusations are what's ludicrous. "An evil religion perpetuated by zealous idiots"? Not at all. Christians are as normal as anyone else.
In the Bible it takes only 20 pages because it does not go into detail. In the books it takes more space because it is put into "real life" situations.
I would recommend that people read these books for themselves to see what they think of Mark's accusations.
As for the quality of the books? They are not as good as the adult series. I have read the adult series and enjoyed it very much, but these books I did not enjoy as much.
