Summary: 870 pages? Wish it were longer!!!
Review: It was really great. I'm a 34 year old married male, and so not exactly the target audience. What do I care? It was a terrific story that kept me up very, very late the last few nights.

It's not a criticism of the book, but I found this book less cheerful than the others. It's simply a tough period in Harry's life, and he's at that age (15) where every boy is struggling to be a man. He's grouchy, irritable, rash... All the things most 15 year olds are. There are certainly plenty of laughs, don't get me wrong, but it's just not a "happy" story.

Everyone who has read the first 4 will certainly read this, so I'll spare you the, "you should read this...", but I will say, no matter your age or gender, if you've not read any of the Harry Potter books, get to it!! You'll be swept into the wizarding world, I promise!

Summary: At long last...
Review: The long awaited fifth book brings Harry Potter into the begining of an angry, tumultuous adolescence while the wizarding world stands divided over the reported return of He-Who-Must-Not-be-Named. Harry's reputation, which has been frequently trashed and resurrected in previous books, is at an all-time low as the residing Minister of Magic (Corneleus Fudge) tries to downplay the frightening reports of Voldemort's return as the attention-seeking ploys of a teenager. Harry's friends remain loyal to him, however, and the Order of the Phoenix is established in secret to protect and convince the wizarding world of the danger surrounding them. Never has Harry been embroiled in such an ominous plot, and never has Hogwarts been less of a haven to him than it is now, with the Ministry of Magic interfering with the running of the school and seeking ways of ousting Dumbledore as Headmaster. The atmosphere is dark and gets progressively dimmer as the book moves on. And yet as the situtation gets more dire, the characters, who have gained dimension and humor in spades, begin to take on the new conflicts with uplifting and often hilarious results. Rowling has improved as a writer and her characters live more in this book than they ever have. A great read.

Summary: The Best one yet!
Review: Harry potter and the Order of the Phoenix is easily the best in the series so far. We first meet Harry after a month of almost no communication wit the wizarding world, which (understandably so) makes him resentful.
I'll probably end up saying this many times, but this is by far the best in the series to date. I won't reveal any of the plot here but it is an amazing book. First of all, there are many strands to the plot that make this book feel more satisfying than the others. In addition, it has one of the most exiting climaxes in any book I can think of. And the death that Rowling talked about was truly heart wrenching. And the secret that Dumbledore tells Harry, along with many other elements, have left me eagerly anticapating the next book!

Summary: ROWLING DOES IT AGAIN!!
Review: Rowling works her magic again with the 5th. book in the 7 part series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This was definitely the best book in the world and the best book in the series. Her blend of humor, action, and a few scary moments made this book hard to put down. Right from the start I was enchanted by this wonderful novel. Harry gets more mature in this one. As well he's angrier and it has a darker style to it than the others which is amazing. It left me eagerly anticipating the next installment in this extraordinary series. I only have one question though; can her books get any better?

Summary: Great book, but takes a while to get into
Review: I absolutely loved Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The characters are so memorable; J.K. Rowling really knows how to create a lovable character. She also does a good job at creating an absolutely despicable character, such as Dolores Umbridge. I liked how Harry showed more emotion in this book; he seemed more irascible. The only problem was that it took a while to get into the book and for the plot to develop. Overall, it is a truly wonderful book and I highly recommend it.

Summary: The Best
Review: This book is the best by far. It has so much action right from the beginning. It is by far the best book so far in the series. I would recommend buying this book because even if you are not a big fan, you will still like this book. The beginning and middle of the book are interesting but the end is the best. I wouldn't advise to read the end first, though, because it's all good. The death is a horrible death and is really sad. I don't think anybody could guess who it is though. Good night and good reading.

Summary: Well worth the wait!
Review: Despite its length, this book is an easy read, with a gripping plot and great character development. It builds well on the previous four installments and delves deeply into Harry's psyche, so that the reader can almost feel Harry's growing anger right along with him. It is a dark book, with a sense of foreboding throughout much of it, but even so there are moments of laugh out-loud humour! Rowling's writing is as good as - if not better than - the earlier books and pulls the reader along. After nearly three years of waiting for this book, I can say I was very happy with it. It was well worth the wait!

Summary: the long await back to hogwarts delivers
Review: After awaiting the 5th book for almost 3 years, the order of the pheonix arives with a bang. The most thought provoking novel in the series yet picks up where we left Harry, and imediately enters into magical world, where new characters await, including tonks, the shape changing auror, and Gwarp, the giant. Througout the book harry watches as the magical world refuses the return of the dark lord Voldemort, and as the Minestry of Magic does all they can to prevent people to beleive it. As Harry watches hogwarts get turned inside out, by their new "Minestry Approved" Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, he is also frusterated by an absense from hagrid, the dread of his upcoming O.W.Ls, and his dreams, which appear to be nightmares, but they are of real places, real things, and sometimes real happenings. In the most pleasent and exciting novel in the Harry Potter series, you will enjoy rereading Harry potter and the Order of the Pheonix again and again, waiting with excitement for the next return to hogwarts.

Summary: Worth the 3 year wait!
Review: I thought this book was great, and I thought it was definitely worth the wait! It is one of the best in the series; it was action-packed and JKR showed us even more interesting things and places in the magical world she created. I highly suggest you get this book unless you want to miss out on a lot of fun and a good story.

She's done it again....
