Summary: WOW it was better than i thought possible
Review: WOW i was shocked when i had finished this book, all 870 pages of it had kept me glued to my chair for 5 days. I only left for food bathroom and work...which was every day. But on to the book when i first opened the package the book came in i just let it lay in my hands for about a minute marveling at its size. Then i finally opened it and started reading. I was pleasntly surprised to notice that the difficulty in reading this book was slightly harder than its predecessors. As i read on the book became increasingly enthralling and was keeping me glued to it for what seemed like minutes but was in realality hours and hours. The development of new characters was amazing , especially in the case of Dolores Jane Umbridge whom I soom hated even more than Snape or any other charter in the series for that matter. And the ending was superb it kept me wanting more potter. Any fan of the Harry Potter series is sure to love this book for its rich magic and ability to keep its reader hooked for hours. so what are you doing reading this review? click the button that says add to shopping cart now and before you know it you will be reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!

Summary: the best book of them all
Review: I preordered the book and received it around five or six o'clock on Saturday. I had been waiting for the book for the longest time and was just about to try and yell at the postmen when alas my book came. I started to read the book as soon as possible with a couple of breaks here and there and finished the book two o'clock in the morning. The book was so good; not only was it easy to read, but it was also a book that once you got your hands on, you could not stop reading. I am an avid book reader but this book by far exceeds all expectations of any book and truly is a remarkable masterpiece. I really really really loved this book and recommend it to anyone; whether they are a book reader or not! I guarantee they will love it and will only be too sad when the book ends and like everyone else will anxiously be waiting for the sixth book to come.

Summary: Incredible
Review: All I have to say simply the best book in the series...sad at times more so then the other books, this book shows the characters start to evolve and mature. And the death of a certain character will be taken by many rather hard...Excellent book...

Summary: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Review: Does this book really need a review? I suppose it does. The hype is history and now it's time to see if the book will live up to the expectations...in a word, yes. While I don't feel it ever could fully live up to the expectations, much less surpass them after a three year wait and all of the publicity surrounding it, I do think it is going to rise to the ranks of the previous books in the eyes of the Harry Potter fans. This book has a different level of emotion, an intensity that comes much more from within Harry than from the confrontations he faces...it is truly a plot extending story within the series that brings Harry to places (internally and physically) that he must visit, matures him, ties up loose ends, and introduces bits and pieces that will be necessary for the reader to follow him through his last two years of school. Friendship, loyalty, corruption, love, hate, rebellion, destiny...it's all here. Well written and very hard to put down.

Summary: Another Work of Magic but not her most impressive
Review: I still can't belive how fast I read this book. It realy was a good book however I didn't like the end. And I found myself feeling drained after compleating it. Its amazing how her writing can invoke such emotions. Now if only she can write a cheerfull book.

Summary: Wonderful and Thrilling
Review: This book exceeds the forth as Harry battles, conquers, and deals with many problems in his life. The reader gets more answers and explanations to Harry's past and future. This book definately sets the tone for the second war against Lord Voldemort. By the end of the book, Harry has been transformed into a different person with different values . A veil is now between him and the rest of his Hogwart friends. I loved the book adn can't wait until the next is published!

Summary: Beyond Expectations...
Review: Many have questioned J.K. Rowling's ability to keep as tight a hold on her captivated audience as she has in the past few years, but those Rita Skeeter-esque people needn't have bothered wasting their quills. The fifth book in the Harry Potter series made me scream, cry, laugh, and every other emotion that I should certainly not have expressed while I was at work. But I couldn't help it, I finished the book in less then a day (the last three hundred pages or so, the most crucial of course, I read at work - a big, big, BIG mistake), and never have I finished a book wanting more.
I won't bother with a book description (read the book!), it just spoils the first reading, but I am just going to say that the mounting pressure of excitement, danger, and fear of the last four books almost explodes in this forcefully entrancing, beautifully written, well-versed, and utterly challenging book - but leaves you with only one thought at the end - when does the sixth book come out?

Summary: It lived up to expectations -- and surpassed them
Review: Better than #4, better than #3, better than #2, almost as good as #1. Darker in tone, and more mature, but this is to be expected as both Harry and his readers are getting older. I couldn't put it down. Anyone who thinks the Harry Potter books are "kid stuff" will lose that misconception after they read this. I normally shy away from fads and popular series like I would from blast-ended skrewts, but these books are as good as they're made out to be, and this is one of the best. Read it!

Summary: When does the next book come out? I'm already anxious.
Review: Heavy, satisfied sigh! I finished the book - a banquet, without all those nasty calories!

First of all, NO SPOILERS, I promise.

For me, this lived up to the anticipation. I have a feeling some might not share this sentiment, as it is slightly different than the previous books. It does rely on knowledge of the previous books - more than the previous books did, in my opinion. However, this is to be expected considering it is the 5th book AND is after the "turning point" 4th book and the return of Voldemort. I for one am not bothered by the darker, more tragic feel. There is still humor and lighthearted moments to chuckle and triumph over.

I especially enjoyed how well J.K. Rowling has matured the students, and how the adults reacted realistically to the children getting older. It is true to life outside of the wizarding world, and a bit refreshing as many children's books avoid this - a character can be 15 but still the same as he or she was at 11. This may seem strange, but touching on those adolescent issues that we all go through reminded me of another favorite author when I was of age - Judy Blume. Rowling is not afraid to touch upon those pubescent subjects, but doesn't distract from the overall story by dwelling on it. After all, Harry and friends have some bigger fish to fry. It also will not be "above" or distracting to those younger readers - it is also done tastefully for those parents who may be a little concerned about their younger children reading this book.

As Harry's experiences widen, so does our view of the wizarding world. One of the reasons why I enjoy Rowling's Harry Potter books so much is her attention to detail and her complete and absolute development of the magical world. Again, I am not disappointed with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She manages to seamlessly integrate new scenery and new information about the wizarding world into her story. Nothing is given to us just for the description alone - something I hate - but instead manages to be wonderfully descriptive withough being preachy or needless information. Yet, as some questions are answered, this is DEFINITELY a book that creates many more questions and hints at more to come.

However, a small warning to those with children - if you do have a child that is overly sensitive, prone to nightmares, or prone to dwell on "scary" things a bit to much - you will want to read this first and possibly put them off on reading it. I don't personally have children, but as well as being a former teacher, I have several family members and friends who have purposely held off having some of their children read the 3rd and/or 4th books. I know one child who went through a phase of speaking to her toilet in hopes that Myrtle would respond or show up - her imagination would probably run wild with the Dementors and her parents wouldn't get much sleep. (Her younger sister wouldn't bat an eyelash - opposite personalities, definitely!) Do what her parents do, buy the book then hide it on the top shelf until the kids are ready to read it or hear it!

I am unsure as to how to finish this review - I have finished the book (before any of the others I know who are reading it, so no opportunity to discuss with anyone) but I feel that I am still "disgesting" or pondering over this one. I will be rereading the others, then returning to this one again. (Perhaps in audiobook form - I highly recommend them to all Potter fans!)

Summary: She's done it again...
Review: Well folks, we didn't think it was possible, but she's done it again. A few day prior to the release of the book, I thought, what is the point of reading this sequel if it can't possibly be better than the one before it. Obviously though, now that I've read it I must report that "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix" has proved even better than the last four. Rowling's fabulous writing style and rich plot kept me glued to the pages and my mother shouting "Stop reading, time for bed!!"
