Summary: Excellent, Comprehensive Resource for Trainers !!!
Review: Dolasinski has written a clear and well organized introduction to training that can and should be read by new trainers, experienced trainers, trainer wannabes, and persons entering training programs. It covers why to offer training, how to design and deliver it, how to sell and evaluate training, and how to use new technology effectively.

Her metaphor of the stage and the play is especially useful and well developed, and the advice about writing a script, learning the script and following the script may help persons new to training. The tone of the book is encouraging to new professioanls and helpful to experienced ones. It maintains a comprehensive perspective without being pedantic and overly professional.

It is an easy book to read. The trainer terms - although very simple - may be useful for persons who have never considered what is involved in this professional field; they seemed unnecessary since the words chosen are not that esoteric.

Dolasinki is to be commended for creating a professionally oriented book full of good solid information and eminently readable and free from jargon. The layout, sidebars (especially the trainer pitfalls), examples, and charts support the text and make it easy reading and fun to search for specific information.

A great book which should be in the library of every training departement, human resources department and college library.
