Summary: Is the sip of the taste of the swallow sufficient?
Review: This is a book of how company executives got into changing the flavor of Coca-Cola. What happened behind the scenes in the mid-80's? The gradual rise of Pepsi made them worry that some day Pepsi will surpass them as the best selling soda. Scores of taste tests sent them into reaction as if they said "AHA!" When the company executives finally came out with New Coke, consumers went into fury for next several months. Why did Coca-Cola, as American as mom's apple pie, change their formula? Starting with the druggist John Pemberton in Atlanta in 1886, Thomas Oliver, the author, writes a naration of executives until the 1980's. A great book for the Coca-Cola enthusiasts and the casual readers of history alike.
