Summary: An excellent framework for sizing up your business
Review: Business Diagnostics provides a concise framework for sizing up your business enterprise. Mimick and Thompson provide a framework that allows a busy entrepreneur to evaluate key factors in their business environment. It does not go into tremendous detail in accounting, finance, and marketing, but keys on the most relevant areas for the small to medium sized business owner. If you used Coles notes to help you with Shakespeare - you'll love this book to help you with your business.
Although I have the Canadian edition, I believe the framework and examples provided are almost universally applicable.

Summary: Practical and Easy to use
Review: I have used the book during my MBA course at Royal Roads University (Victoria, British Columbia) and I really enjoyed it. It is user friendly and contains many practical examples the student or the business owner can use to size-up the business.

In particular I found the venture capital funding's section very valuable. I recommend the book to everyone.
