Summary: Diagnosis & Prescription
Review: WOUNDED WORKERS is a well written guide for anyone who has been hurt by supervisors or leaders in a church or other ostensibly Christian organization.

Farnsworth includes many anecdotal examples gleaned from his broad background of careers. Particularly helpful are checklists which aid the reader in assessing his degree of woundedness, & in identifying the category of dysfunction in the organization.

The reader is also urged to look at how much of the unfortunate situation may have been his own fault. The overall focus is on healing & recovery, on moving on from the hurt, & avoiding similar traps in the future.

Thoughtful questions guide the reader through the process of deciding whether or not to remain with the organization.

There is not much theology per se. For example, while he cites several instances of gender bias, his purpose is not to argue the Biblical rationale for freeing women to serve in whatever leadership roles for which God equips & calls them.
