Summary: EXACTLY what I need to succeed!
Review: A rare find- if this is the only book you buy on creating high-impact presentations, it will be the best investment you ever made for your organization! I have been following Mr. Endicott's articles with PRESENTATIONS magazine for some time now, so I was excited to see he was sharing his expertise by authoring "The Presentation Survival Guide". The book is small enough to fit in a briefcase, laptop bag, purse, or even pocket. It is a perfect tool for creating professional presentations, and presenting them confidently. The substance, invaluable tips and easy-to-follow, precise content make this book impossible to pass up. Mr. Endicott's reputation as a respected industry expert is only solidified further with his latest piece of work. You will be amazed at how it transforms your presentations- it certainly has for ours!

Summary: Tips for Executive Story Telling
Review: As a Service Marketing Executive within a Fortune 1000 company, I find Executives know how to "tell a story" that fits their agenda. Some just take a little longer and are a little harder to follow. Of course, I don't remember those as well.

What I found useful about the book "Presentation Survival Skills" is that their stories and mine have become much more visible and memorable in a favorable way, just by applying only a few of the techniques described in the book. One example is how to prepare for "The 2-minute Drill", for those times a 20-minute presentation gets cut to 5 minutes.

Glad to see this book available at Amazon for those who have borrowed my copy!

Summary: Concise is not always better
Review: The book comes in a surprisingly small package. It can be easily slipped into a pocket. This attracted me to it and raised my hope that it would be practical and to the point. Unfortunately, it was not even a rehash of other guides to presentation skills. It spends too little time on the nuts and bolts of preparing and designing the presentation and too much time on the audience. It gives precious little attention to styles of the presentor. After reading the book twice I realized that I got what I paid for, an inexpensive book with little new or useful inofrmation which did not really add much to the already available literature on the subject.

Summary: Great tips and tools
Review: What a great help this book was. I've spent countless hours pouring over numerous presentation books only to have them drone on and on about approaches which tend to place me right in the middle of 100's of other presenters. This book helped me to "elevate" my presentation style away from the pack. For the minimal price I paid for the guide, I got 1000 times the value back from the response from my presentation audiences.
An absolute must for any serious presenters reference!!
