Summary: Straight to the point and easy to read
Review: One of its kind! This is the first investment book that I am aware of that describes a real life experience in losing money!! Dr. Matta describes what one must avoid in order to preserve his capital and increase his wealth.
I found the book extremely interesting to read and I have since applied it to my own investments. I recommend this book to the inexperienced investors in particular, those of us who cannot resist a slick commodities salesperson call! I have since learned to look for the fundamentals of any investments. Thanks for a great book, Dr. Matta

Summary: Bravo!
Review: Simple, fun, and informative. Finally a book on investing written by a layman for laymen. Instead of the usual :"how I beat the market" stories, Dr. Matta describes the mistakes he personbally made in playing the market, in the hope that others can avoid them. I especially liked the story on his investment in the biotech firm in the mid-eighties, where one of his collesgues lost over a million dollars chasing a pipe dream.

As an amateur investor, I can really relate to the stories in this book, and I found them quite helpful.
