Rating: Summary: a really poor product from Vault very dissappointing Review: I think the vault guide to finance interviews is excellent but this supposed "guide" to venture capital is so incomplete and lacking in any original insight or information that it's offensive. In between advertisements for vault products, this guide is incredibly short and does nothing but tell you the kind of information you need to know to get a job in the industry without providing any substantive answers to the questions one might actually face during the job search process. Do you really need to pay over $20 to be advised you should go do research on the industry?
Rating: Summary: Low bang for the buck Review: I was very disappointed with this book. It was very short - it seemed that for every page of content there was an advertisement from Vault for one of their services. Furthemore, much of the material is available on the Vault site for free.In short this book was not worth $20. Instead, I'd recommend either a "war-stories" book like "Done Deals: Venture Capitalists Tell Their Stories" or something more academic/technical like those by Gompers & Lerner or Wilmerding.
