Review: A good sound investment is when years have passed and the information you read in this book is still keeping your business growing. Ms.Stansell wrote information that you can use now and in the future. The information is easy reading and application. The fear of making a bad business move is removed because she was able to share and explain how and what to do step by step. The tips and resources are just wonderful. I remember the first time I used one of her tips and it yield me a great profit. I still make money from using the information from this WONDERFUL BOOK .Thanks for making my business foundation strong.

Review: As a member of SBA's SCORE team and a 15-year veteran of small business ownership, I present workshops for people interested in starting home-based businesses. I always recommend this book. It's full of the things start-ups need to think about (zoning, financing, marketing, pricing, inventory, time management, client relations ... and the list goes on.) I would be hard pressed to mention an important topic this book omits. I particularly admire the concise presentation of topics. Each section gives enough information to be helpful--including extensive resource lists for further research--but not so much data that the reader feels overwhelmed. In the age of information overload, this book is a treasure! Get it, read it, and follow its advice. This is a book full of common sense, real life approaches to small business challenges ... a MUST for any small business owner.

I would also reccomend this book to anyone who wishes to know how a business becomes successful. As a university student, I have thumbed though many books on the topic but none have given me a clear picture with resources like is book. I would also like you to know, I actually read this book cover to cover and I am still learning from it!
