Rating: Summary: Excellent Job! Review: As a learner, I been reading few tens of business/self improvement books. This is an excellent book that covers a wide area of knowledge in working towards Richest in Life and Business. And, this book is pretty concise and to the point, which make it easy to read. One personal comment is that... I don't quite like the second part of the title as ...-> "Desperately want to keep secret." In my view, I think that Only those people who may be "monetary rich" while definitely "mentally poor" will do that. But then again, it could be the author marketing skill to name it that way...> as human curiosity nature likes to see other's secret.

Have a look and tell me there's not something for everyone. I wish the ideas offered in all business books were this easy to read, understand and implement. Brian emphasises the need to continue improving oneself, through reading, learning, adopting new ideas, watching others and remaining informed. Also he promotes flexiblity, durability, service, honesty, planning, goal setting and many other areas needed by business people to ensure success. He stresses the need to be True to Oneself in business and life and if you really want it, work hard (and smart) to attain it. I'll be recommending it to all my friends whether self-employed or looking to forge a career for themselves. Through his common sense ideas and simple teachings, who knows how many lives Brian Sher will change for the better and the amount of success that will flow as a result.

Rating: Summary: How To Conduct Business 101 Review: Is THIS what rich people know and want to keep secret? I doubt it, unless the message was to just go into business and stay there. This book was nothing but common-sense business strategies that a 3-year-old could tell you.
<sigh>...more fireplace fodder...<sigh>
You get much better info by reading Thomas Stanley's books. He actually INTERVIEWS rich people and gets their secrets.
Here's one that more useful than this whole book: buy a laundromat or car wash. They're low-key businesses that get used by a lot of people, and those quarters really add up!
Here's another: own a junk yard. Those "wreck" vehicles make more money for you as separate PARTS than the whole vehicle was ever worth or ever cost to purchase a a hulk.
Move along...nuttin' to see here. Go see Thomas Stanley's works for useful info. You'll thank me later.
Rating: Summary: Follow the advice in this book to achieve success Review: This book has a poor title but great content. I don't know how secret the ideas are, but it's full of very useful information. Brian Sher lays out techniques that rich people use to become successful. I usually highlight books that I read to capture interesting parts. This book has more highlighting then most of the books I've read. I believe that if you follow just 5% of the ideas listed you will become successful. The problem with most books of this type is that the information is excellent, but how do you incorporate the techniques into your life? I identified 275 interesting things you can do to increase your chances of success. The book touches on some of the following: * Money * Happiness * Change * Marketing * Employees * Systems * Learning * Failure * Goal setting * Getting Help * Optimism * Job Success * Customer focus * Increasing Sales * Reducing risk to customer * Testing * Selling * Magical Experiences * Finding your USP (Unique Selling Proposition) and much more.

Rating: Summary: The Basics Only Review: This book presents some good basics for small business success for the beginner. It totally fails to fulfill the implications of the title.
Rating: Summary: What Rich People Know and Desparately Want to Keep a Secret Review: This is one of the best book ever written. It is better than Rich Dad Poor Dad by a mile. The author is obviously a genius in his field and everyone who is interested in learning the non nonsense practical approach to business must have this book by their side.
