Rating: Summary: Great book with quick tips. Review: After hearing a lot of the people in my office talking about this book I decided to take a chance and buy a copy for myself. I'm not an avid reader nor am I your typical "self help" kind of guy but after experiencing a lack of energy lately I thought I might as well check it out. I'm happy to say that I am now on my way to becoming an Energy Addict! The book has tons of great tips in easy to read sections that really have impacted my life. Some tips are really simple, so simple that I couldn't believe I was not already doing them but I guess this is where you need to help of someone like Jon Gordon to give you the nudge you need to get started. The physical tips are great but I never realized how important the mental tips are on impacting your overall energy. Great book!
Rating: Summary: buy it used Review: Common sense on steroids. Recommended if you have a lot of free time and like to read about things you probably already know. I stopped reading after the first 40 pages.

Rating: Summary: Thank god for Energy Addict!!! Review: Giving up caffeine was so difficult but this book helped out. Energy addict does suggest you go off coffee slowly before you start the plan. This would minimize headaches during detox. I couldn't wait to get started so, of course, did it all at once and had the most horrible awful headache for 4 straight days. I finally broke down and had a 1/2 cup coffee one day instead of taking aspirin and that did the trick...for the moment.
If you must drink coffee, Energy addict recommends coffee substitutes because coffee is high is pesticides and decaf can still contain up to 14 mg of caffeine per cup. So think of it that way and perhaps it will be easier to go off coffee.
I have substituted with a coffee replacement named soy fee because its organic, made from soybeans, and find it gives me something warm and brown to drink in the am and I have actually grown fond of the flavor. I follow the method of using a french press for the best results. Plus it has health benefits like lowering cholesterol and fighting heart disease. Look for it online under soy coffee .com.
