Rating: Summary: A good book but too long Review: This book has very good points, and it helps me a lot. But it's too long. I think 60 pages instead of 200 should be enough to explain those points.
Rating: Summary: Great book!! Review: This one is one of those books that teach you from the first chapter. I really recommend this one; it certainly changed my perception on the markets. I used to have an adversary "relation" with the market that made me make some mistakes. I now see it from a neutral bias. Believe me, this had a tremendous effect (positive) on my equity curve.
Rating: Summary: Should be everyones first trading book Review: Yes, technical analysis is important...
Yes, statistical analysis of market data is invaluable...
Yes, ones own trading system can give an edge ...
BUT without the insights that this book reveals about trading psychology, one is as defenseless against the brutal emotional ups and downs entering the market, as against the bitter winter cold being in the nude.
This book, with simple and clear language, points to the very things one should provide for before doing anything else.
I consider this my most important trading book along with John F. Ehlers' "Cybernetic Analysis for Stocks and Futures".
