Summary: Good for Beginners
Review: I discovered this book through the Vending Jackpot website and after reading the first chapter preview, I couldn't resist, I had to read the rest of it. This book is a very quick and easy read and it can definitely get the rookie vending operator off to a good start. The author includes a lot of helpful advice on how to start a business, how to find good locations, how to operate your business effectively, and a handful of other tips. This book certainly helped me get my vending business off the ground.
The reason this book does not get 5 stars:
If you are a highly educated person, this author's writing style may frustrate you. Ronnie Talent clearly did not get a college degree in written rhetoric, and it shows. The book is chocked full of unecessary, cheesy cartoon pictures that one might expect to find in a child's coloring book. That, along with his writing voice makes this book seem as though he was targeting an audience of 5th graders. If you're into that kind of literature, this is your book. I understand, some people like that kind of writing because it keeps things very simple. I'm just saying, if you want something a little more intellectually stimulating, look elsewhere.

Summary: Simple Very Simple
Review: I read The vending Jackpot and my first thought was this book is truly for vending novices. (im not a novice)
It didnt get me upset because i like simple reading! The book mainly encourages people to get started with the easiest form of vending on the planet, bulk vending! I say take the authors advice if you are scared to lose money on larger investments such as drink machines, jukeboxes, etc. Also always watch out for scams. They come in all types from scam financing, to selling bad ideas, to companies that change their phone number so dissatisfied customers cant reach them! By the way "Vending SUccess Secrets" by BILL WAY (AT AMAZON.COM) is a lot better and more in-depth

Review: I read three books on Vending before I bought my machines.. and I ended up with a garage full of the wrong kind of machine. This book showed me how to get great locations easily, and which machines made more money. I wish I read this one first. A must read for anyone serious about starting a vending business

He explains it all in plain english. Great location tips.I have a friend that got me interested in vending, so I bought this book a few months ago, Now my machines make twice as much as my friends! And I spent half as much!

Summary: A total disappointment
Review: I was very disappointed by this book. I was hoping for something that would guide me through the industry and help me decide if vending was for me. But, other than a bunch of bland, boring information written in a cheesy way, this book didn't have much to offer.Entrepreneur's Magazine also publishes a book on vending. I'd definitely recommend their book over this one.

Summary: Great to help you get started
Review: If you want to get started in vending- this book is what you need. I've read others that tell you all about the different types of machines, from pepermint patty machines to bic lighter machines, but the facts are this- you'll make more money in the long run using THESE methods. I've been in the business for a couple of years now and needed locations. I got this book and got 5 within a few hours. If you just want an overview on vending and all the machines- you'll find others that cover it better. Want to make money? You need this one.

Summary: This is an excellent roadmap to get started in vending!
Review: If you're thinking about vending, you'll want to read this. Just the chapter on how to get machines for 1/2 price or less has saved me over $5000, and I was able to grow the business faster. It does focus on candy and gum, but truthfully- I can see why-Now I see that's where the money is!
You'll really save a lot of time and money, I did. BTW, he also has CD's on his website that are good too.

Summary: I'm glad I got this.
Review: My husband and have read 3 other books on vending, but this one shows how to get the really good locations.Thats really where you make the money in vending. We used one approach in the book and I got 6 locations in about 3 hours- I wish I had read this 6 months ago.
