Summary: Excellent foundation in the fundamentals of trading
Review: As a new trader, I am really looking for quality information about trading fundamentals and Dr. Elder's book has become my "bible" and daily reference on how to trade. My confidence in Dr. Elder's strategies are bolstered further by the fact that every successful and experienced trader I have met recommends this particular book ahead of any other. My thanks to Dr. Elder for taking the time to share his rich experience through this book.

Review: Are you looking for an easy to follow explanation of mind, money management and methods of trading??...if so...this will be your winner! Dr. Elder breaks it all down in a format that is easily understood. And...if you really want hands on experience....go to his traders camp. There you will learn from Dr. Elder personally, while you share ideas and make new friends with other serious traders! I have just returned from his camp and it is truly an unforgettable experience!

Summary: A superb guide for successful traders
Review: I have read Dr. Elder's book several times. I have also attended his trading seminar.Dr. Elder's approach to the market psychology and money management is excellent and presented in an easy to understand format. The triple screen system has made my trading quite profitable. This book is recommended by nearly every online education site for trading. I would do the same, without any reservation, for anyone who wants to be a successful trader.

Summary: Good Book to Start With
Review: Nicely written, from a market psychology perspective. The basic technicals were well explained, though more elaboration on centering moving averages would be desired. Seems most ema's in his examples are for the current day, not pushed back a couple of days, as was advised earlier in the discussion. I would like to see an update to include options an futures, any more applicable and recent technical indicators, and more on money management strategies. But it is a good book to start with, easy to read, and I still recommend it.

Summary: Excellent and eloquent delivery of priceless fundamentals ..
Review: This book is written for both the novice and professional trader. Dr. Elder, in great detail, had spelled out both the pitfalls to be avoided and the management skills necessary to be a massively successfull trader. Personally, I use this book as a tool that keeps me focused on the basic fundamentals. Trading for a living provides me with excellent trading perameters that minimize risk and maximize profits. Should you read this review, I would suggest strongly that you give your self the oppertunity to investigate the context of this valuable book. Summary: you gotta be kidding?
Review: I had traded successfully for several years before reading this book. I found doing exactly the opposite of what Elder recommends is the way to succeed as a trader. I bought a black box system and stuck with it through some rough times. But for the last three years it has consistently produced high five figure income for me, without really having to think about it.

Review: I am a professional futures daytrader. Without this book, I wouldn't have had any chance of being successful, period. I have read other books on the markets and they cannot compare to the type of information presented in this book. This book has had an incredible impact on my trading skills. I cannot overemphasize how great this book is!!!!

Summary: A " technical knock-out [TKO] " of learning how to trade.
Review: This book is more than well-written; it makes sense out of the obscure and uncertain world of investing. Like the headlights in your car, the "indicators" that Dr. Elder employs, enable you to see what the market holds down the road. At first blush, the psychological stuff may not seem to be directly related to making money in the markets, but WOW...was I surprised. The mental portion is just as critical , if not moreso, than the technical information. By the way, reading Trading for a Living piqued my interest for more that Dr. Elder had written and there is a second gem. Entitled Rubles to Dollars, it is great for anyone who is interested in investing in sectors besides the US. Captivating reading ,it's a great follow-up to further broaden your investing skills[and hopefully, your investing profits].
