Rating: Summary: Good high-level overview Review: This book provides a good-high level overview of the design and integration of a complex, e-business system. The case study is a good approach, and easily adaptable to many "real-world" scenarios. My only complaint was that there was not much discussion or examples of actual code in the book, thus one is left to sort through the source code (provided on their website) to try and see how their architecture approach boils down to the code level. Overall, however, this is a good introduction to planning and designing n-tiered applications with the .NET framework.
Rating: Summary: Good overview Review: This book provides an exellence big picture of .NET in developing an e-commerce website. It will definitely save you a lot of time in developing a website. It does not provide in detail on how do you implement it though. You would need specific books on asp.net and on VB.net or C# to complement it.

Rating: Summary: previous review Review: Well, I'm not sure what happened to my previous review concerning my opinion of this book. I can only guess that the folks at G.A. Sullivan cried loud enough to get it removed. However, I continue to stand by my assessment that this books SMELLS, and not like roses. From the title, I was expecting a book that covered design and implementation methods in depth. However, I was left with a feeling that the book was written more to pat themselves on the back.

Rating: Summary: Good to learn how you can use .NET technologies Review: You'll go though the process of creating an e-commerce site. Each process is not explain in great detail. There are general explation of each .NET topic and MS (.NET) servers like SQL server and BizTalk server.
If you want to have a general idea on how you can take advantage of .NET and MS products, I recommend it.
