Summary: A quick and complete look at the man in the news.
Review: Bill Gates is a complex man, and a really fascinating one. Not only does this book give a glimpse of that, it shows why Gates is one of those quintessential Americans. In larger than life scope, he shows what's great -- and what's disburbing -- about our amazing country.

Summary: Bill Gates (The Richest and Most Powerful Man in The World)
Review: Bill Gates who is a self made Multi Billionaire is unique and a genius in the Computer Industry. He appears to be a great and very powerful man who has human values with the integrity and morality to go along with it. Mr Gate's and his money are a without a doubt two seperate entities. He's made the money and is way ahead of whomever is in second place. Mr Gates appears to know how to live in a very healthy and functional way and he certainly built his life and empire on a very solid foundation. Anyone living in this world today with average intelligence cannot help but to have the utmost respect and admiration for this Modern Day Leader of Mankind. Bill Gates is living proof that the impossible can be accomplished and accomplished in a very big way. You motivate me Mr. Gate's and your a stellar role model for Children growing up in this day and age giving them hope and the potential for a very bright future. Your The Real Icon of the late 20Th and 21st Centuries. (A REAL HISTORICAL LANDMARK!!)

Summary: Here's what Business Week has to say:
Review: From Steve Hamm's Feb. 15 Hot Type column: "...Gates has been interviewed extensively and rarely holds back -- except when he's being grilled by federal prosecutors -- there's plenty of engrossing material. Lowe's first three chapters cover Gates's early years as a computing child prodigy in suburban Seattle, as a Harvard University dropout, and as a young entrepreneur who loved fast cars as much as all-night software-coding sessions. The middle section focuses on Gates's confrontational management philosophy and his competitive drive. And, toward the end, we learn about Gates the human being -- who gamely sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" on national TV at Barbara Walters' bidding."

Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Review: I am not an avid reader because I find myself bored while reading, but this book caught my attention almost instantaniously. I don't know if it is my obsession with money, and the fact that I am reading about the wealthiest man in the world. Or, it may be the fact that I love computers, and if it wasn't for this man...I may have never even known about computers and neither would the next guy.

Summary: Clear, Precise, Short Cut to Know Bill Gates
Review: I finished it within a day. It was written to take into considerations both to get you know Bill Gates clear and fast, and in a very interesting way. Only drawback is not in-depth, but what could you expect in such a condense book!

Summary: No Meat To This BooK!
Review: I like to be told a story. Although the book starts with a good story on how Bill Gates got started, it quickly digresses. This book is an accumulation of facts and boring accounts about Bill Gates and Microsoft. It never gets into the meat of things. I would have liked to have read more about the litigations against Microsoft. Maybe some more about Nescape's lawsuit. It mentions very little about the Antitrust lawsuit that I was looking forward to learning about. Instead we get quotes from Bill Gates that do not enhance the book, but instead interrupt it. The author references websites about Microsoft's and the government's claims about the lawsuit. It's like the author got lazy. Don't waste your money on this book. A very big dissapointment!

Summary: A compelling "biography"
Review: I met and spoke to Mssr. Gates six years ago and he came across as very smart and very down-to-earth. This book captures the thoughts and actions of this genius very well. It's easy and pleasant to read, unlike other boring biographies (and Gates' own books :). I think it also gives the readers plenty to think about.
