Rating: Summary: This book rocks!!!! Review: This book is incredibly well-written! And there are STILL skeptics (A.K.A. Napster freeloaders) who think that it's wrong for people to make money from duplicated efforts and from books, tapes and seminars. Isn't that the reason why we're Americans? To make money from things we create? I am so glad that the owner of Safeway doesn't get rich off of us. Wouldn't it be horrible if Jeff Bezos made money every time we bought a book or a cd or a tape or even worse, what if he never disclosed that he was making any money from this? How about the dot bombs that are conducting seminars for $2,000, non-Quixtar related? I'm sure somebody's making money off of that. How unethical! I think I will start my own anti-Amazon and anti-Safeway site. What scams! Keep writing Coy!
Rating: Summary: Quixtar Revolution Review: I have read this book and feel that it has more then one story to tell.If one book can give you insight to how the past and future are so connected. This book has it all.I have always had a love of history and history and the present go hand in hand we can learn only if we can keep an open mind and watch how this new revolution unfolds.Everyone has the right to put on paper what most can only dream about and being able to read what's out there is a wonder in it self. So I'm grateful to be able to read and see what the future has in store and books such as this give me a chance to see what the future has in store for us and our children. The opportunities are unlimited for the true Dreamers and Belivers.
Rating: Summary: What a joke! Review: The author should be ashamed to write this kind of trash for a couple of greenbacks. What a shameless piece of propaganda. The author would be comfortable writing love pieces about Stalin in the old USSR. Quixtar - next internet revolution??? Ok, it is 2001 now and what is Quixtar - nothing. And please, stop insinuating that Microsoft and IBM are somehow involved in this scam. Quixtar purchased the software from MS and hardware from IBM, just like anybody else can.
Rating: Summary: Great book on Quixtar and history of technology and business Review: Really enjoyed how Mr. Barefoot started his book on the history of technology and business. How technology by itself does not make huge shifts but how entrepeneurs make the paradigm shifts happen by taking advantage of the new technology. His history of Quixtar was great also. For information on Quixtar I definitely recommend this book and "Quixtar.com Click by Click".
Rating: Summary: To give this review less than 3 stars is a joke Review: It is a shame some people never gave quixtar a chance, to those of us who know it is a very profitable business given the work. Moreover, if he thinks great people like Bo Short or Chuck Vogt need people to worship them or funded the book possibly he is even more uneducated than i thought. They are only trying to let people see the light. I applaud them for taking time they didnt have to for sharing their experience woth others. I do not normally tear people apart for thinking a book deserves less than 3 stars but in the quixtar business all we have is each other. It needs to be said. God bless all the Diamonds who put their part in the book. I have not read the book, however the people that took part in its creation give it some instant credibility I am certain or they would never have bothered at all. I look forward to learning more than I have already.
Rating: Summary: "Get The Facts From The People Who Know." Review: Up to the time of writing this review, I haven't read this book (at least not until I purchase it), but I've been exposed to the concept being talked about it to know enough of what it's all about for ME to decide if and how to incorporate it into my life. I'll offer the same advice to anyone else - check it out by going after the true facts, and then you can make a qualified decision that your conscience can live with.
Rating: Summary: A great guide to why Quixtar is beaking so many records! Review: I very much enjoyed The Quixtar Revolution. The book contains many excellent examples of why Quixtar will power into the next several decades. I really enjoyed how the book is devided into two parts. High-Tech and High-Touch. It is easy to read and very well written. Many people review this book as a way to 'dupe' people to look at Amway. This is not about Amway, it's about Quixtar. They are seperate companies. My philosophy, If you seriously look at Quixtar and your not interested. Great. Never settle for less in whatever you do, because now you know, there is a way! :-)
Rating: Summary: This book is simply a shameless public relations piece Review: It is insulting and misleading for an author to write and a publisher to publish a book claiming to be unbiased, and then spend dozens of pages quoting people who obviously paid for the book to be written. I have no problem with Amway. Why "some of my friends", etc. represent them. What I resent, and so should any other thinking person, is the sham of publishing a book for the general public's consumption with no warning of its complete lack of objectivity. I attended two computer conferences just after reading this book (Spring-Comdex and Auto Retailing on the Web). Out of curiosity and obviously upset about being duped, I asked 20 computer industry professionals if they had ever heard of The Quixtar Revolution. Not one of them had heard of the site which supposedly is revolutionizing the Internet. I suppose my only recourse is to tell whomever I meet about this experience, and to never, ever buy or read anything written by Coy Barefoot or published by Prima Publishing again. Dennis Buckley
Rating: Summary: A road map to wealth! Review: People who choose not to read books like The Quixtar Revolution have no advantage over people who cannot read. The 5% of the population who qualify to become IBO's will someday be reaping the rewards of e-commerce while the dim bulb individuals who just "don't get it" will be wondering what happened. Great book!
Rating: Summary: Knowing the difference, and educating yourself Review: Let us all remember 1 thing, those former distributors that speak poorly of the Amway experience had problems with their Amway distributor, NOT Amway themselves. Amway is a company that manufactures goods and services and offers a business oppurtunity to anyone. That means a good honest hardworking person could take part in the oppurtunity, or a real dishonest, materialistic, thug. This is your own business and some people run it well, while others don't. Many people have been deceived. "The Quixtar Revolution" gives great insight on the future of e-commerce and what Quixtar can do for you. There are many important players who were involved and put their respected names in association with Amway. Why? Because they to believe that this is a revolutionary business oppurtunity. This book will give you the knowledge you need to help you make that decision if this business is right for you. Research and Education is the key to running a successful business. I encourage those that are serious to check out other books in association with NetWork Marketing.
