Summary: Opportunistic and self-important
Review: It is sad to see a mother care more about promoting herself than respecting the privacy of her famous daughter, Meg Ryan. If I were Meg Ryan, I would disown her as well. She comes across as opportunistic, using her daughter's fame to bolster her own self-worth and gain an audience for her book. Without her face being plastered on the cover( she looks like her daughter ) no one would buy this book.

Summary: daughter should love her MOM
Review: meg should not keep her son away from his grandmother good greif how petty can one get...what's meg's side of the feud? Nothing can be that bad...my mom has passed away and boy i regret the bratty things I said and wish i could have just one more moment to to say I love you to my MOM...meg needs to think of someone other then herself...but I guess she must be selfish...she even cheets on her hubby

Summary: meg should realize she has only one mother
Review: no one should keep a grandchild from a grandparent

Summary: Don't waste your time
Review: Since these reviews are focusing on the way Meg Ryan is treating her mother, I had to put in my two cents. Even mothers can do things that make it necessary to distance yourself and (especially) your children from them. My mother has borderline personality disorder and it seems that Meg Ryan's mother may very well have this disorder too. If I had a child, I would most certainly cut ties with my mother to spare my child the pain that I've experienced from this woman.

Please don't judge someone if they cut ties with their mother. You don't know what is behind that choice. Even mothers can be horrible people. Meg Ryan has probably cut ties with her mother because that was her only choice.

As far as the book is concerned.... I don't recommend it. I found it to be a manipulative attempt to make a buck. It was poorly written and the thoughts were hard to follow. I didn't even read the book all the way through. I didn't see the point.

Summary: Forget her , Meg!
Review: To many times society, particularly women, insist you put up with bad, sometimes horrific behavior from your parents, just because they are your parents. Women do the worst things to their kids in the "so-called" name of love. Disfunctional family members like this woman are poison to whomever they come in contact with. WOMEN - STOP HAVING KIDS BEFORE YOU ARE EDUCATED.

The woman (the mother) is desperately trying to milk Meg's fame for all it's worth. You see that is just about all showbiz parents.

F*** Her, MEG and enjoy your life! You deserve it.
