Summary: Behind the stage and between the sheets...
Review: I am not sure how to classify this novel. It is an autobiography, yes. It is an insider's view of the Nashville music scene. It is a masterpiece of psychological examination. Most of all, it is completely human.

Masters isn't gentle with anybody in this novel: but the best part is that Masters isn't gentle with herself. She knew exactly what she did and what she wanted and she offers no apologies or excuses. That kind of honesty is unsettling. It makes this book impossible to put down.

I have never before read a book like this one. I got it a week ago and since then I have been reading it again and again and again! Masters makes me examine my own life and wonder if I could be as brutally honest as she is. I don't think I could be.

Better Judgment is a voyeur's feast!

Summary: Her Best Work Yet...
Review: I have had the pleasure of working with Gwen Masters for the last several years. She is constantly surprising me with the depth of her work. This novel is no exception. I have read it cover to cover more than once, and there is no doubt it is her best work to date.

The basic premise is this: Ayza is a married man, a musician battling the powers that be on Music Row. Finchy is Gwen Masters herself, a woman who falls in love with Ayza despite the presence of his wedding band. Together they ride a wave to platinum records and sold-out tours, all the while keeping their relationship a secret. Then their happy union is invaded, not by a jealous wife, but by the bottle of liquor in which Ayza loses himself. Not until the final page do we know whether Ayza beat the demons, and whether Finchy stood by him while he did it.

This book is a harsh look at the politics of Music Row and the pitfalls awaiting any musician who pushes for that platinum plaque on the wall. More importantly, it is a book that reveals the depths of an affair without sugar-coating. You want reality, this is it.

I'm proud to know Gwen, and I'm proud to recommend her work.

Summary: Country Music lovers have to have this book!!
Review: If you're even remotely interested in the Nashville Scene, then this book is right up your alley. It's a titallating, emotional autobiography that is sure to grasp your attention. At the end, you'll be so intrigued as to who the musician is that she's writing about.

Not only does this book prove the author is a great erotica writer, she's also an extremely talented author...period!

Summary: Gwen Masters has written a masterpiece!
Review: If you're not a fan of erotica, don't let this keep you from reading Better Judgment. You will love it! If you are a fan of erotica, you will love it too! Better Judgment will keep you on the edge of your seat, and when you've reached the end, you will want more. I recently finished reading it, and will start reading it again tonight. It's that good!

Do yourself a favor and pick this book up now! I highly recommend it!

Summary: Worth more than one read
Review: Perhaps the fact that this book is autobiographical is one of the things that makes it so intruiging but it is much more than that. It isn't very often that I find a book that entertains, titillates and informs while making me consider my own expectations and concepts of morality.
I hadn't gotten very far into the book before I pulled out my highlighter and started marking. Ms Masters' experiences and the emotional repurcussions enabled me to see the gray areas in a situation that many view only in black and white and forced me to deal with personal questions I had conveniently buried.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My new favorite author
Review: This is an exceptional book, so good I'm reading it for the fourth time. The end of the novel left me with a sense of longing. I wanted more! When does the next one come out???

This book is a diamond among rhinestones.
