Summary: A radical, vulnerable bio of an awakened female master.
Review: Santosha Tantra's "The Innocence of Her Form..." is a "Divine Revelation" from a beautiful, strong, compassionate soul who is truly AWAKE. What incredible joy to know that She Is here and that it is possible for me, for all women (and men) to realize their highest SELF! This biography is mind-blowing (or mind-expanding) in its candor about the trials and tribulations of waking up in a god-doubting time. She was, for a time, an ordinary ego like each of us, living the conventional roles of wife, mother, student and artist. But her yearning to remember her True Self propelled her to leave the world of desires behind in haste.

At a young age, she entered the "school of self-mastery" which seems so readily rejected and scorned by cynical minds today---(my own included).

Santosha Tantra applied herself to her studies and to her Guru's explicit directions, learning to master her body, mind and emotions in a remarkably short amount of time. She Realized the Self within a couple of years! She was 33 years old when, awakened and immediately took on the work of helping others to awaken.

Again, with incredible vulnerability, she writes of the pain and frustration and sacrifice of this time working with students who had a sincere impulse to awaken, but lacked the maturity to enter the "school of self-mastery" as she, herself did.

The book goes on to describe Santosha's transition from "warrior teacher" to "transcendental artist" and her evolving "awakening" and ferocious and continuous efforts to serve others' enlightenment. It includes over 50 pages of her artwork- paintings, tilework, and photography-not to mention the final section of the book which includes five of her radical, free-style stories that had a profound "loosening" effect on me. If my house burned down tonight and I could only grab one possession, it would be this book to savor, to study, to treasure forever. --Edare Carroll (sfm@sirius.com) San Francisco, CA

Summary: The most wonderful account of spiritual awakening ever!
Review: The clearest, most touching and beautiful story of a woman's Awakening to her true nature. I have read just about every available spiritual biography and autobiography and this is the first that talks so fully about the continuing process after enlightenment. Written in plain English with with the sensitivity of a true artist. Ranks with "The Knee of Listening" by Adi Da.

Summary: Wildest beautiful story
Review: This is a fantastic story of a real woman and her unique waking up, that seems to go far beyond any other I have read. I love it! I recommend it to everyone, man woman and child. Especially people who love Adi Da.
