Review: I bought the Deeds of Frederick Barbarossa for my High Middle Ages class, and the text offers an interesting slice of history of the reign of Frederick Barbarossa. Begun by FB's uncle, Bishop Otto of Freising, it was completed by Otto's assistant, who arguably offers a more solid history than his more skilled and sophisticated predecessor.
