Rating: Summary: The New Lane Review: "The New Lane" is the true story of one man's life. He has numerous synchronous and precongitive experiences that ultimately take on a meaning, a message, by the end of the book. It's both simple and very complex, rich and deep with meaning. It's a short read, only 195 pages, but is so jam packed with interesting interrelationships that it is better upon a second read. It was very interesting.
Rating: Summary: A great book! Review: A wonderful account of one man's spiritual journey through synchronicity and hardship. It seems that Codey's thoughts and life cemented around the WTC tragedy, and I enjoyed his thoughtful insight as someone who used to work a few buildings away from there. This is a beautifully written story about one man's Job-like meeting with religion, politics, art, love, and tragedy. A fun and engaging read. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: "Celestine Prophecy" meets Kerouac's "On the Road" Review: From the moment I began reading "The New Lane" I couldn't put it down. Codey's vision of the World Trade Center as described in the first chapter is truly transcendental and only heightened the mystery for me about what was to come next in the book.Codey then takes you through a magical journey of synchronicity that is reminiscent of James Redfield's best selling "Celestine Prophecy" books. He even recounts to the reader the synchronous events that occur as he is in the process of writing the book. It all comes to a crashing, heart rending crescendo at the end of the book, with the events of 9-11 and the amazing discovery of how Codey's "The New Lane" relates to the writing of the classic American author, Jack Kerouac. This is the most fascinating book I've read in years.
