Summary: Fascinating History in a Hurry
Review: Just an incredible read. Gertrude Stein's advice to writers is worth the price of the book. You also get Hitler, Stalin, Scott Fitzgerald, Mae West, Arthur Miller -- etc. The interviews are from four to 15 pages long and all written by different people. Some appeared in newspapers first. You can easily pick this book up and read a little, and then pick it up again in a week or two, or keep it as a reference.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A journalistic chocolate box
Review: This book is a journalistic chocolate box for the general reader. For journalists, it is a landmark study of the evolution of one of the key techniques of the profession. As such, it should have a place on the syllabus of every journalism school.
