Summary: Orestes' odyssey
Review: Vuelo hacia el amanecer (Flight at Dawn) is the tale of one's man's struggle in his fight against the forces of evil. The evil in this case is the dictatorial regime of Fidel Castro's Cuba. The author recounts his life from childhood to adulthood. Through his account we penetrate deep into the mind of a true and devout communist, a student, a fighter-pilot, a world traveller, a father, a son, a loving husband and finally a defector. Through his ordeal we live his pain and his agonies. When at last he finds freedom abroad in the United States, his travails are not over. He then embarks on another mission: How to rescue his wife and children from "Castro's HELL" ... and thus - the title of the book - his flight with his family into freedom. EXCELLENT reading!
