Summary: A great read!
Review: An autobiography written about the adventures of an 18-year-old Norwegian immigrant in 1914. He goes to Alaska in search of gold. If you've ever wondered how to survive alone in an Alaskan winter with only a rifle, an ax, and a nail, then buy this book. Very funny book, nicely written. Gives insight into gold fever and American society of that time.
