Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Story of Contrast
Review: This first person account told by Manny Mill reads like a novel. The author weaves a clear gospel message throughout his life story. The time line is fragmented at times but the loose ends unravel as the narrative moves forward.

The author has used the platform of this book to acknowledge and thank the many who helped and encouraged him in his ministry and Christian growth. While honorable, this somewhat distracts from the stated goal of providing an evangelistic tool, which shows the contrast of Manny's life before and after becoming a Christian. It does, however, verify the importance of the role of the body of Christ in the life of a new believer.

I personally was unable to get a clear picture of the ministry and organization of Koinonia House, the ministry founded by Manny Mill. I was hoping for more insight into the program.

Several incidents in the story were especially touching such as the day his family took him to the prison to turn himself in for incarceration. Insights into the functioning of the prison church were both informational and inspirational.

The fine line of self-effacing humility and brazenness is offset by the positive testimony of those watching Manny's life. They have attested to the genuineness of the man.

My heart was often touched as I involved myself in the story. I would like to meet and emanate the real Manny Mill.
