Rating: Summary: The Realest Deal, Who am I to judge Review: A Walking Peace was an inspiration to me. I can relate to the abuse, being homeless, no family, and many wrongful player ways that I am too ashame of. Who is the real judge? Is it Massachusetts or God? It bothers me that all the negative reviews states, "no respect for women." What about the rest of book! Please... The people who writes negative things about the author could just be the ones who abused him (we don't know anybody can write a review,) and still are trying to hold him back. I wished I had A Walking Peace and I commend the author for the creation of title "A Walking Peace." However, I wished I had it earlier, I'm serving life in prison for a life I didn't take, everyone here support this brother! For being real and showing us both sides the Good and Bad. Let's not be haters because this book is already a success or we would have not read it. To the author Nathan Landers continue success because negative reveiws boost up sales anyways...
Rating: Summary: Amazing and Addictive Review: I have read "A Walking Peace" by Nathan C. Landers and was amazed! I finished in one night. "A Walking Peace" is about a man named Nathan Landers who struggles throughout his childhood to understand his backgrounds, and upbringings. He expresses how those cruel and abusive upbringings have effected his life in some sort of way and how he was able to step over those negative vibes and create his own vibes through music to God, keeping him away from drugs and alcohol. Nathan is being put down by others who haven't taken the time to understand and hear him completely. He is like everyone of us...God's child and we should commend Nathan for his courage in writing this brilliant book and sharing his experiences to us...not for fame, but for help to those in abuse and neglect. TO NATHAN...Keep stepping over those negative vibes and maintain the positive ones!!! (Happy,happy,happy,happy,happy...)
Rating: Summary: A great read! Review: I'd have to say that this book is a great insight into the mind/emotions of a boy growing up in foster care and then adopted into an abusive family. After reading this book it made me want to continue learning about Nathan Landers (the author). I actually wanted to write to him to let him know how much I admired him for his perserverance etc. I'd say this is a great book! I hate to say it but the only negative thing I have to say about the book is that it wasn't edited well. That just goes to show that Nathan could accomplish anything he set his mind to doing. I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about a REAL person.

Rating: Summary: Uplifting Review: Nathan Landers is an inspirational man. His experiences could have easily left him bitter and angry towards the world. Instead he is setting and accomplishing goals at an incredible pace. Reading this book, I could feel the pain he endured and peace he found in God. Nathan shows the true power of trusting in the Lord and allowing Him to guide. This book tells how a person can endure much pain and even use others, but realize the error of their way and turn away from that lifestyle. I would whole-heartedly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read an uplifting, inspiring story.
Rating: Summary: Breathtaking and Inspirational Review: Nathan proved in this book "A Walking Peace" that you can acheive all your life's goals, if you put your mind to it! In this book Nate explains how he has overcome being homeless, abused, and neglected as a child and teenager, and how he successfully found his biological mother. To Nate, Keep your head up and we love you!!!
Rating: Summary: God is still in control Review: This book is a must read for everyone, especially young people. You may think things are bad when your mother tells you she cannot purchase an item for you when the rent needs to be paid, but imagine sleeping in a park on a bench with no where to go and no one to love you. The only thing you have is a dream. This book carries you through all of your emotions. Nathan was able to capture you and put you in his story as it went alone.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This book is absolutlely amazing. As someone who has endured the pains of adoption and abuse, I am deeply touched by how openly and honestly Nate bared his soul. His words are inspiring, his song touching. Growing up an at-risk inner city kid, Nate now has the power and the voice to touch and give hope to show youth that it is possible to overcome barriers and to "not be defeated by circimstances." A truely great book.
Rating: Summary: Inspirational at its best!!!!! Review: This book was a powerful book about this young man's true struggles as a foster child, as a adolescent and even as a young adult. It is amazing that this young man survived various trials and tribulations throughout his life and was able to live through the trauma and stay focused. One could not imagine the type of abuse this young man endured and experienced when he was a child. This book will tell all and definitely make any reader experience a "rollercoaster of emotions" while reading it. It will inspire and motivate the reader to pursue their ultimate dreams and goals. And it will also give the reader a much more broader perspective of what the definitions of faith and miracles are. This book was put together by this talented young author and I must say, it is definitely some good reading!!!!
Rating: Summary: A Good Start Review: While this book was a great start for a new author, the editing, and overall organization of the book made it hard to identify the central focus of the story. There are several segments that are awkwardly placed, leaving the reader to ask, "Why is this included in the book??" ie- 'Guide to Player Understanding' -- This novel was not a guide to understanding the mentality of a player. And furthermore, the points noted in this segment have more to do with women and what they think than they do men. The different stories are somewhat scattered, disappearing abruptly -- only to resurface in the middle of a completely different storyline. The sloppy "piecing together" of the book made it hard to regard the novel as a professional piece. The issues that mattered most were quickly combed over, while the author seems to drone on and on about silly issues with girls. It causes the author to appear shallow and self-centered, which is never flattering when the story of an abuse victim is being told. In addition, the author constantly insults the reader by overstating the obvious and repeatedly clarifying simple concepts. The story deserves to be told, but needs serious polishing. Again, a great start, but with much room for improvement.
