Rating: Summary: Great book, lots of photos, easy reading Review: This is easily read by those who like to read from beginning to end and for those who like to skip to chapters of special interest. There are many color photographs throughout and even more towards the end. This autobiography includes an incredible amount of local history infomation. The chapter discussing the Seattle's Ladies Musical Club provides background on how the Seattle Opera and Seattle Symphony got started. There are family tree charts in the back. This is wonderful example of combining family history with local history. I wish more people wrote books like this.
