Review: "THE COMPANY SHE KEEPS" by georgia durant'e this is a book about pain about "coming of age' about overcoming abuse and self doubt and self cofidence all in one,georgia durant'e shares with us in a most honest and "real" way her nightmarish experience of physical and mental abuse at the hands of a true monster, this is a MUST READ ! for wommen who have experienced abusive relationships, with humor laughter and yes pain,georgia durant'e takes us into a world few ever come out of! there are VERY few books that disclose with such detail of life in americas mafia, married to a man who could get an oscer for "most evil monster in america" she tells of being kidnapped and almost murderd by a man she once thought of as a "knight in shinning armour' but infact was an abusive monster of a man. she tells us of how she overcame the terror inflicted on her by this man, and of her road to healing and success as a stunt women in hollywood, her honesty and humor and very often her pain and tears will leave you mesmerized by her life experience, this book has it all for those mob buffs and those of us in society who struggle to overcome the pain and hardships both mental and physical of abusive relationships ! georgia durant'e is a surviver and a fighter in a world that surly would have taken most of us down,she is a beam of light and of hope to many who would sadly find themselvs in or recovering from abusive relationships in todays society,she lets us into her privet hell that left me both crying and laughing and at times even numb ! this is a BOOK NOT TO BE MISSED" thank you georgia durant'e for the love and honesty and courage it took to write what should be termed a literary masterpiece ! :O)

Review: Georgia Durante has written a book with all of the plot-driven drama of a movie of the week. The Company She Keeps features a beautiful, spirited heroine. A larger-than-life storyline. And the requisite good guys, bad guys and of course, wise guys. What elevates this book beyond a good night-table read is the truth behind the tale. Georgia Durante's story is a survivor's story, and in this engrossing book she lives through rape, violence and a life married to -- and on the run from -- the mob to become one of the nation's top stunt drivers. The names and faces in The Company She Keeps may be famous, but the story itself is one many ordinary women living with abuse know too well. But there's hope in this book, and healing as well. Georgia Durante proves that while she was shaped by the traumatic events of her life, she is not defined by them. Instead, she moves beyond her considerable pain to build a new life for herself. Yes, The Company She Keeps is good reading. But more importantly, it's great inspiration . Read it and you'll see that there can be life on the other side of the things we most fear, and it can be rich, rewarding and wonderful.

Anyone can write a story, but it takes guts to live and then expose it to everyone. Bless you Georgia for taking courage to share your story with others and for being so open. Review: I have to smile when I read the review titles for this book. They must be the author's friends.
The book was less than okay. I had a hard time reading it. Alot of her stories were drawn out and could have been cut short. But it must have been a story she felt worthy to tell. It could have been written with half the pages. I also had a hard time feeling sorry for her.

GEORGIA OVERCAME ALL OF HER PERSONAL OBSTACLES, BUT SHE ALSO OVERCAME MANY OF THE POLITICS THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A "CUT THROAT" INDUSTRY. Review: The Company She Keeps by Georgia Durante is nothing less than a masterpiece! The beautiful Durante captures that spectacular and startling inside feel of the real mob like no other before. She knows the story well because she lived it! Truly a eye-opening and heartfelt experience, which can only be compared to Henry Hill's "Award Winning" Goodfellas story. Durante is a survivor! She has lived the brutal life from which nightmares are created and escaped death. She has successfully beat all odds from a woman trapped and suffering in the life of the Mob, to Hollywood Stunt Car driver and International stardom. I highly recommend this book! It truly deserves the highest praise possible. Genuinely fascinating!!!

Summary: Inspiring Life Full Of Amazing Stories
Review: The Company She Keeps wound up being a lot more than I thought it was going to be. The cover made me think I was getting a look at life in The Mob from someone who was there. What I read was a story of a woman who was dealt a lot of rough hands but turned them into wins and lessons learned. It's amazing how Georgia Durante could suffer challenge after challenge and grow stronger through it all. So many others would just take the hits and fall down.When Georgia tells her story of what was in her life, she presents points and ideas that teach lessons to the reader today. You see things through her heart and eyes as she survives an abusive marriage. You feel yourself get stronger as you travel with her on her escape from her abuser. You realize that no matter how much someone tears you down you always have the power to rebuild your life. You cheer as Georgia shares the happy times of her life with her parents and her children. You get the urge to follow your own dreams as Georgia finds hers as a stunt driver in Hollywood. The Company She Keeps also shows how far we've come as a society in recognizing the problem of domestic violence. I don't want to be a spoiler, but you'll be shocked how the police used to deal with this matter. Georgia found out in a very real way. I've read and heard about so many so-called self help books that tell you how to get through the tough times and have a great life. Those authors greatest feats are stepping on a stage and talking. Georgia's greatest feat has been living her life, facing reality and sharing the paths she took so others can find theirs. The Company She Keeps is a book that will make a good person realize their true value and become an even greater person.

Summary: SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Review: The only reason I gave this book 3 stars is because amazon seems to not publish low ratings, and I deserve to be read, especially so I can warn all of you of this garbage of a book. All the reviews of this book are 5 stars, no doubt her and her friends because this book is pathetic. It is unreadable. Many people think their lives deserve a book to immortalize themselves; she is one of them. It is self-serving. BORING! The whole book is of her getting beat up by her boyfriend, cry us a river. She is an old washed up wanna-be "model" who is trying to hang on to something; youth or who knows what. I wish I could tell you how it ends, but I couldnt get that far.
