Review: Here is a book where anyone who has had the hand-me-downs and the mega-afros can relate and have lived to laugh about it! Sinbad is a total riot, and his guide will have you rolling in the aisles because you have lived through the same things. His candor and honesty about his perceptions of living are honest and not filled with vulgar. He has the charisma and foresight to draw you into his world and not leave you hanging with a bunch of reteric or made-up philosophies that will have you wondering if he had nothing better to do with his time. This self-perception guide with show you how a mischevious child grew to an awkward teen, and from there into the confident man he is today, and you will laugh each and every step of the way.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: I knew Sinbad was funny and I had seen his acts, some of those are included in the book. But as I was reading his book, there were times I just couldn't stop from laughing. My husband would want to know what was so funny, I tried reading it but it wouldnt come out cause I would just keep on laughing. I love this book. I was imagining the way he would say them which made it all the more hilarious. Buy the book!

Review: I'm a big fan of Sinbad, so when I got this audiobook, I was really looking forward to listening to it on my next business trip. Having finished it, I can't say I was ENTIRELY disappointed, but it didn't live up to my expectations either.Unfortunately, it sounded too much like Sinbad reading rather that Sinbad talking. And that took away some of his charm. I have heard some of the chapters in the book from his concert performances, and he definitely delivered this stuff better when he was doing his live show. He just didn't seem to have the same energy as when he's in front of a live audience. Now, don't get me wrong...the book is still clever and funny, and I did enjoy the anecdotes that he delivered, but Sinbad is a comic that is best experienced in front of an audience.

Summary: Sinbad's Book is Hilarious
Review: Sinbad's book is one of the most hilarious books I've ever read. I gradually read through each page numerous times laughing to myself each time I read it. Sinbad's book is a great introduction to his humor. He uses material that anyone can relate to including family, parents, parenthood, collage and childhood. Some of the material that he uses in his book is from his standup show Son of a Preacherman. But still his material is very funny. Sinbad's book is an easy fun read. But I would recommend people to take there time and enjoy.I would recommend this book to anybody with even the slightest bit of a sense of humor.

Review: The book and audio were so hilarious. I was at work listening to the tape and people had thought I had lost my mine.I honestly had to turn it off because I couldn't finish my work.It was soooooooo funny.I was kind of depressed before I listened to it and after listening I felt like a brand knew peroson.Ain't nothing like laughter to cheer you up. Thanks Sinbad!!!!!!

Summary: Laugh a minute along with lessons in life. Awesome!
Review: This is just great humor and great insight from an awesome comedian. He most certainly delivers the hilarity, but there are a few somber times in the book where he is real, very real and takes a serious approach. He speaks highly of his dad, which I respect for 2 reasons. For one, if you have an awesome dad, like I do, and Sinbad does, you should express it. The second reason is because like myself, his dad is a preacher, and wanted nothing but the best for his boy. I guess I would suggest to read the book, not buy it on audio, because the person doing that might expect a stand-up comedy performance, and that isn't what this is about. With that said, however, it is very funny most of the time with the Sinbad humor that people all across the country have grown to love! If you love Sinbad, you'll love reading his book. He also teaches us lessons throughout the book about not taking ourselves too seriously. Have some fun while reading this book!

Review: This is the ultimate book about life and its perils and joys as told by Sinbad. It's so funny and yet, so TRUE. Children and adults can identify with this book because Sinbad talks about his childhood as well as his adult life. His trek back to the '70s is too hilarious and his views about marriage and divorce are true to life. If this book does not tickle your funny bone, then you're either dead or in denial!
