Summary: The easiest read on the subject
Review: I just finished Lois Bristow's book on Bea Gorman. I couldn't put it down until I was done. I have been dealing with my mother's Alzheimer's for about three years and have partially read alot of books on the subject. This was the first that I read that was both facinating and helpful. At the same time it is written in very plain english that makes it quick and easy to tackle. There is so much on the market on the subject but the "Help For The Caregiver" section of this book gets to the point quickly. What most caregivers don't have is enough time. The first half of the book in a biography of an amazing women who any one of us would aspire to emulate. I'm taking a very difficult trip next week to move my mother into a personal care home. This book will be in my back pocket. If possible, I'd have Bea sit on my shoulder.
