Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Lingis The John
Review: This book is fascinating-written very poetically, with many striking insights, such as: "The immense field of ephemeral insights, fantasies, impulses, and intentions that link up in disjointed systems are forced to somehow form an individual whole in our bodies." Its key weakness lies in Lingis's obsession with sex throughout the book, including a description of a supposed encounter with a prostitute and many pages dedicated to homoeroticism.
