Rating: Summary: A moving testament Review: As a teenager in Hitler's Germany, Dorla Gundersheimer, her mother and her resourceful brother survived ten years of living under the relentless threat of the Gestapo for the "crime" of having a Jewish grandmother. Her story is all the more compelling because of her relentless honesty in describing herself, the people around her and how they, both Jew and gentile, managed to out-wait (and sometimes outwit)an insane regime. I salute her. This is an important book, and deserves a wide audience.
