Rating: Summary: enlightening Review: Tvedten writes with fondness and honesty as he gives us a glimpse into the people that share his life at Blue Cloud Abbey in South Dakota. We witness the changes that have taken place throughout his 40 years as a monk. He discusses the seemingly mundane rituals of work and eating, yet this is at the very core of all humanity and Benedictine spirituality as well. He's a no nonsense, down-to-earth writer and leaves the reader wanting more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who wants to know - "What goes on behind those walls?"
