Rating: Summary: What a good book! Review: As a Christian, I knew at an early age that I had a Judeo-Christian heritage, but didn't really know what the "Judeo" meant. My desire for a more complete knowledge of my faith increased, but where was I to go for a simple explanation? There were some complex, hard-to-read books, but, except for pure history which didn't address religious issues, I never found a text that simply answered my questions. I have found answers in this slim, readable book, and I have also found questions I never thought to ask. It was a pleasure to learn the full story behind certain Jewish aspects of my faith and to relate this to modern life. As the book says, "Sometimes hate can be more easily understood than love." This is a loving book, designed to dispel the myths and present a living faith where Jews and non-Jews come together as the children of God.
Rating: Summary: Great book and a must read for all Jews Review: I thought the contents and subject matters discussed in the book written by Dr. Alon Barak "Why a Christian Pastor Became a Messianic Rabbi" is both informative and inspiring. This author has written from a very close life experience as I have encountered. The contents he has written are right on target. I like the fact he was not biased in addressing cultural and denominational differences. This book is easy reading. Also, I suggest this book for all cultural backgrounds and religious affiliations. I think the contents Rabbi Alon has written would address some of the misunderstandings and misinterpretations that causes disunity, and will bring about reconciliations. Thank you Rabbi and friend to both Jews, Christians, and the rest of humanity.

Rating: Summary: Jewish Roots of Jesus Review: This book brought smiles and tears as I progressed through it. From the acquisition of the temple, the peoples (Jew and gentile) that have crossed its portals, and the knowledge imported regarding the Son of Man, Yeshua Ha Machia (Jesus the Messiah), the book informs and just a great read.

Rating: Summary: Great book and a must read for all Jews Review: What a wonderful and inspiring book. This is a book about the journey of a soul from a very Jewish perspective. This author is very open and honest. The book was written with tremendous humility, and love for the one true G-d of Israel. As a Jew, I truly related to the happiness of this Rabbi's dream come true of being able to own a synagogue. I insist that every Jewish person, no matter what their exact beliefs, read this book. America needs more Jews like this man. I have read this book several times.
