Summary: For the thoughtful among us
Review: Having heard Deepak speak a number of times I found this in some ways a surprising book. I had not realised that the Rishi he speaks of is the Maharishi Maresh Yogi - 'the Beatles Maharishi'.I found the book a slow starter, found however that my efforts were rewarded. The Net has a number of sites which offer somewhat critical comment on those refered to as 'gurus'. I feel that Deepak's motive for this book can only be to sincerely chart his path for us. Not an easy book - not an immediate book - intellectual and of its best use to those perhaps like me who had knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda before coming across this author. Like all good communicators, Deepak's best purpose is served in being a codifier, populariser and proponent of these philosphies. He is honest - some of the thoughts are his - but most come from ancient sources. His service is to provide them to us in an interesting and digestible way

Summary: Return of the Rishi
Review: What could be more delightful than not wishing for a book to end? I look forward to a sequal to Dr. Chopra's thoroughly engaging, entertaining and thought-provoking story of his life in Western medicine and the ancient knowledge of Ayurvedic medicine. It makes me wish he was my doctor or better yet, friend. More, please!
